Laws on naked pictures of girls?

Whilst inittialy this would have been true, you won't see people walking around naked or women walking around topless around the town centres in the summer simply because it is warm.

The social stigma that surrounds nudity of any kind is too great.

even african tribesmen wrap a leaf around there penis

Its probably 18+ to watch videos in UK instead of 16 so that 16 year olds dont star in hardcore pornos. Other counteries, namely USA, would get hold of these instantly making masses of illegal content in USA and other counteries but not in UK.

Still stupid why 16 year olds appear in films semi naked though. Im guessing they dont show gapes and stuff!

Pseudo-photographs are where the head of a child has been photoshopped onto an adults body or vice versa, and is certainly illegal. However, you can't be charged with possession of an illegal image if you can show that the model is in fact over 18, no matter how old she or he appears to be.
It's always a judgement call for the investigators if we come across an image of a girl who could be either an adult or a child, and we tend to give the benefit of the doubt. At the end of the day though, if necessary, it'll for the jury to decide.

As stated it is 16 in this country - at least for topless. I remember the countdown to Linday Dawn McKenzie's 16th birthday in the DailySport (Not that I ever bought a copy!). Up until her birthday (i.e. when she was 15) she was in a bikini but on her birthday (or hopefully the day after) she got 'em out.

In the US they have odder rules. In American Beauty Thira Birch was topless at 17 but her mum was present during filming so it was OK apparently.

Not any more, as of 2003 the law was changed removing the allowance of 16year old topless models. Although it isn't illegal to still have the older images (as I understand).

What's more twisted is that with the digital camera so abundant in everwhere from phone to Nintendo DS, there are bound to be kids taking pictures of themselves in bathrooms...technically that's breaking the law....? What if you taken it when you are 15, then a week later its your 16th birthday but the photo is still on the phone???

Well it's not illegal to possess an indecent photograph of yourself if you're under 18. But if you sent it on then, yeah, that'd be distribution and illegal.

Didn't school kids in the U.S. start taking photos and sending it to their teachers and got them in trouble? Something like that was in the news.

My sentence was relevant. :p
