Lazy Sundays

Absolutely, wake up, bit of browsing, watch football most of the day, maybe go for a run, have some tea then bed. So a fairly lazy day I would say.

Delicious.

Not since children ...

Only good to come of both growing to teenagers is we will at least get a lie-in on a weekend - but that's years off, youngest only just turned seven.

- Work up at 4:30 with my one year old crying, having pooed out of his nappy all over his cot. Changed his cot, bathed him to clear off the poo, and gave him some milk.
- Went back to bed for approx. 30 mins and was just drifting off again, at which point my three year old woke both of us screaming that she needed a wee.
- We'd promised her a swim, so off we went to the leisure centre at 9am. She shouted most of the time, worried about the 'vents' on the side and the dirty grabrails. My one year old shivered and cried the whole time, even though the water was pretty warm. £8 for 40 mins. as that's all they could manage.
- Came home and made them dippy egg soldiers for brunch. 3 yr old moaned about the shell, 1 year old chucked most of it on the floor and refused to eat all but the marmite toast.
- Started to mow the lawn and it starting hammering it down half way through one of the lawns. Lawns look ****.
- Paid off the credit card bill, most of which was clothes for my kids.
- Looked after the kids while my wife had a lie down, pending a nervous breakdown because of our kids.
- Went on the PC for about 5 mins before more screaming, as my daughter had gone outside in the rain and slipped over in a puddle, covering herself in crud. Bath time again.
- Prepared tea for them both. Tidied up the kitchen while they generally misbehaved and threw food all over the place.
- Hoovered the kitchen floor.
- Sent both kids to bed. 10 mins later, 'daddy, I need a poo' from the 3 year old and screaming from the 1 year old. More milk required for him.
- Kids now in bed, wife and I cook dinner and relax in front of a Mad Max Blu-ray. Peace at last.

Think carefully before having kids people :p.

Every Sunday (well most), we order Indian, put all the sofa cushions on the floor and lay out watching a film. Nice way to unwind before bed.

I can so relate to this. I have two boys of the same age that spend most of their time screaming.

Yeah we can too, and we've only got one. He's two and in to everything at the moment, I love his inquisitive side and the fact he's hungry to learn and develop but sweet zombie Jesus it's knackering.

I expect to be like Ed Harkan in Anchorman getting a call from the Nuns at his son's school in years to come.

Been there, done that while I was on call at work. Sometimes I wouldn't get to sleep for days. It only gets more difficult and more expensive as they get older :(

Marriage and kids is not to be taken lightly. Think hard before you do it.

It was a good day as you managed to post on here. :p

The furthest we got yesterday was the garden, just read, listened to music, watched some tv and ate. I expect a day like this is on your bucket list. :D

Seems like your wife had a nice lazy Sunday. Out of that horrific list above it seems she had a nap and watched mad max. I'm sure there's more to it such as she did most of that stuff the day before,so it's your turn etc. but from judging a book by its cover that doesn't seem very balanced.

Back on point, I hate doing anything on Sunday's. I get annoyed that it's normally the day we do the weekly shop and half the time I have to cook dinner. Did manage to watch 7 episodes of sons of anarchy back to back though last night which was sweet! :)

Being crazily busy means having to leave some things to the weekend.

But pretty much all of our spare times goes on travel research right now.

However yesterday we met friends for lunch and went to the Natural History Museum. :)
