LBP almost certain not to get #1 spot

I disagree with the people who are saying Fifa will floor LBP.

I think LBP appeals to a lot more people.

As much as I enjoy Fifa/PES. I wouldn't rate it massively. Not 1 football game would ever get into my top 10.

And considering how many top 5/10 threads we've had in the console forum for this generation, Not many people mentioned Fifa or PES.

This forum doesn't represent the general public. There aren't many wii threads for starters.

Well I can only go on.

A: My opinion
B: The games my friends own and play
C: What I see on this forum

A,B and C = My original view. That LBP will not be floored by the next Fifa :p

what was your fifa comments intended to do then?

An underboss has asked you to leave it. You're just going to help turn another thread into chaos. And if you decide to give me some sort of jibe after posting this, I wont be responding to you. Unless it's actually something intelligent.

That's more understandable :).

See, I'm a sports addict, I love NFL, Football, Basketball and Ice Hockey games as well as Sports Management games. It's terrible, they stop me playing so many other things.

And Fifa's control system, online aspects and presentation are also innovative and have consistently pushed boundaries.

This is true, but the only people that will buy fifa 09 are die hard fifa fans. I just don't see it bringing in any new players because the controls have been updated. The same can also be said about other games, but its just more common in sports games that get released every year.

well come on
i posted a relevant comment to counter the guys claims
you act like its a big crime and jump on my back as usual
and here we go again
how about you just browse past my comments its not like you need to always attack them

You say things that are completely irrelevant to the point. You brought MGS4 into a discussion about FIFA and LBP. Id understand if the reference was just, but it had no relation, which results in a troll by-product. Ill browse past your posts when its possible for me to do so, but with the amount of **** you spill I find it hard not to. But anyway, FIFA 09 and LBP ill be buying both so I dont really care. \o/

I think you'd find it quite the opposite Robert1986. I can think of at least 15 people who will be buying Fifa 09 at launch on these forums, more in my personal life, all of whom purchased Fifa 08 and several of which owned Euro 2008 too because of the changes and tweaks to controls.

Sports Games have more added to them between versions than a lot of people may think. Pro Evolution Soccer is perhaps very guilty of that, certainly over the last 3 to 4 releases, but it's not something you can accuse Madden or Fifa games of doing.

it was relevant as has been discussed
maybe you should attack the guy mentioning racing games and fps and other sports games now too?
or just me you save your bile for?

The general public determine sales, not a few nerds on internet forums. How many of them are interested in Fifa compared to LBP?

What the nerds or the general public? Its hard to make judgement anyway as FIFA maybe a fail like PES08 and LBP maybe immense and not everyone is a football fan and not everyone has to be a geek to be intrested in LBP.

I suppose you could say many are thinking FIFA would be number one as it usually has been for past iterations. There's a common trend of topping the sales charts with EA sports games. They basically appeal to everyone who's remotely interested in football and remotely interested in computer games. That's a lot of people, and a certain combination that's sure to have a wide reach. It's a very, very broad demographic.

Well, we'll see, but I think you may be in for a surprise. Remember it's not about the actual quality of games; it rarely is when it comes to sales.
