It isn't a bad thing, but hardly anyone admits to it.

Why does this thread get so many replies, it's a silly topic to begin with :S
 
and i must mention how the forum seems much nicer already without theStig1 flame baiting in every thread but i still think the Mods pressed the wrong button on him.

I do agree that it's in hope, but the way it's often worded - like in the opening post of this thread (and several other posts) is that it will be that good, not that it might be, and that's what seems to happen with alarming regularity.

I can't help but think that there is so much negativity from 360 owners that the PS3 guys really need something to believe in, if that makes sense.

Ah, I wondered why he hadn't responded to my earlier post, was waiting with interest :)

As for the topic, I can kind of understand what the OP is saying. Fifa 09 'yet another update' of the same old game will probably outsell LBP regardless of how good or bad it is. It's all about marketing and public perception, but that's the way it is with video games I guess.

btw FIFA/PES and any other annual multi plat game (COD5?) will easily outsell LBP. These games come out at the same time every year and they sell very well to average gamers and have very long established fan bases. (I am not certain but I think EA have had the largest selling annual game every year for like 6 yrs or something).



Also: Save the Cheerleader and Watch Season 3 of Heroes which begins on BBC2 in September showing 8 days after the USA broadcast

Fifa seems to be getting a lot of stick but sorry to say this its popular because it is good.

people dont buy crap games, well wii owners obviously do :)

i dont see it as a battle tbh as thats just plain silly, fifa is loved by millions LBP could be cack and if its not people will pick it up eventually but only when they have played a 100 games of fifa methinks :)
