LBP overhyped much?

There's plenty of innovation in CoD4 including several sub-missions which act almost like completely different game modes - bombing targets, sniper assignments, commanding teams, etc. Not a great example to give really.
Where do you command teams?

You don't seem to know what you're saying it seems - one minute you're stating as fact that Halo didn't come out on the PC (which it did)

I know perfectly well what I'm saying, the fact that you seem intent on criticising me instead of backing up your claims suggests that it is you who doesn't know what they are talking about. I've already explained what I meant by that so unless you failed to read the explanation then you're just being a ****

"Your [sic] insane if you think Halo didn't break new ground" and the very next post saying "I never said that Halo has bought [sic] more [to the genre]". Make up your mind - was it revolutionary/ground breaking or wasn't it? Pro-tip: Look up the term "ground breaking".

Again read my posts, in fact I'll start putting things in capitals to make sure you read them, I said the game was ground breaking as a console shooter (hence saying Halo broke new ground) however it did not bring AS MUCH to the genre as a whole as those other games. Note I never said it didn't bring ANYTHING to the genre, which is what you seem to be claiming, just NOT AS MUCH as those other games. Pro-tip: Make sure you have read posts properly before issuing instructions. Comprende?

And again you're using ranking systems (apparently?) as a means to prove your argument. I've never disputed that Halo is popular, but being popular or even getting a high score in reviews by virtue of hype and nothing else comparable being available does not a ground-breaking FPS make. What the hell has "ranking" got to do with what a game brought to the genre?

We were discussing whether Halo was mediocre or not, the best thing we have to go on is sales and review scores. I am not using them to prove anything, merely suggesting that it is highly unlikely that all these people are wrong. Unless you can provide some sort of evidence that proves it is mediocre? The first Halo was not that hyped and the marketing was fairly low key compared to the latter efforts. You can't just say "Oh well it was just down to hype la-di-da" and stick your head in the sand. I have nothing against people disliking Halo, nobody likes every game, there are plenty of classic games that I don't like. However, suggesting that the people that like it only do so because they haven't experienced the PC FPS games is ridiculous.

Resistence > Halo

None of the Halo games made me actually want to quit the campaign, ok Halo 2 did, but the other 2 were pretty good.

Resistance single player was just boring, aside from a few good levels the lack of story and just mindless grinding through enemies got boring fast, I think I got to the last few levels before giving up due to boredom.
