"Imagine a world where the only limits are those of your imagination."
Who actually said that?
Also how can you judge if a game is overhyped before it's even out? :/

Mass Effect and PGR4 were over-hyped? I wouldn't say so.
This game is hyped, but its hyped for a reason, it looks good. Im hoping it lives up to the hype as well to be honest as Ive been let down to many times.Like Halo 3, that just sucked.
Incidentally every iteration of Halo has been hyped to ridiculous levels and have all ended up being mediocre-by-PC-standards FPS games that haven't really innovated at all.
I've seen vids of levels which have racing, fighting and even some sport levels like one were you had to score a penalty to proceed
How? I haven't seen anything in Halo that I haven't seen in run-of-the-mill FPS games circa 2003. Halo 3 doesn't even look much better than the first Unreal Tournament.Yes they've been hyped
But they have outdone the majority of PC shooters for what they're trying to do.
And yes they have innovated.

What is it that they're "trying to do" exactly? Make a by-the-numbers FPS that is unremarkable in almost every respect besides being an Xbox exclusive?
Oh dear. The main reason PC gamers like to insult Halo is because it was taken from them, if it had been released on PC it would have been hailed as a great game.
Oh dear.
For someone who makes a point of parading their FPS history like its a badge of honour you need to do a bit of revision methinks
Halo (and Halo 2) were released on PC and got very lukewarm reviews, of particular note is Gamespots review which says "Halo 2 for Vista is a solid game that probably won't appeal to anyone who's played any recent high-profile PC shooters." Hmm, didn't I just say that?
As for sales & position in the charts - well, just look at Apple. If they can flog a substandard phone to legions of fanboys who would buy it even if it only held a charge for 10 minutes a day then imagine what Microsoft can do? Halo is, was and ever shall be hyped to ridiculous levels just because its Microsoft/Bungles little lovechild. As such it's no great surprise that it sold so well to masses of Xbox owners who don't know any better.
No you didn't, so don't try and backpeddle nowI am not stupid, I am well aware that Halo 1 and 2 are on PC. When I said come to PC, I meant simultaneously not much, much later and a fairly poor port. Nor was i parading my FPS history like a badge of honor, just making ti clear that Halo wasn't my first FPS and I have a large range of titles to compare it to.
Exactly. Its a fairly generic sci-fi shooter tbh. The first one was good for its time, I loved multiplayer vehicles and stuff but the game is far from groundbreaking. I dont get why its so hyped, probably because its a 360 exclusive?Multiplayer aspects were the only thing that I would consider good about it, the aiming system is just as poor as the plot as well, I dont find any of them that special at all. 1 was the best.
