Last time I watched (2014?), it was an advert for a sportier Fiat 500 Abarth, and a EuroSport ad telling me that Archery was the pinnacle of sport.
I think in the last 2 hours, they managed half an hour of actual racing.

Wouldn't be able to go through that again. Horrendous channel. The Fox Sports, of Europe.

Edit: Oh, and cutting the race feed to show a 30 minute show about the world cup. With the actual race continuing on EuroSport 2 (after a 30 minutes highlights show)...

For as long as the #1 Porsche has been in the pits, it's still ahead of the lmp2 class.. but only just..

edit:- and there it goes, bang on midnight, drops a lap behind the lead lmp2 car

The problem with Eurosport is that its main target market is mainland Europe where all their TV is ghastly so they're more tolerant of it. We're used to higher quality TV so aren't as happy putting up with stupidly advertising-heavy channels. Yes I know we have our own variant of Eurosport but the principle holds :p

As much as we moan, it is basically 24 hours of non stop coverage with a large and complicated team. We shouldn't complain too much or we will just get a highlights show a fortnight after it's over :p.

Yeah once you adjust to the frequency and sheer awfulness of the ads, the coverage itself is decent and pretty cheap, as it's included with standard subscription packages rather than needing an expensive sub like Sky Sports.

The site/app is actually pretty good as well. Wish we could get the F1 like this!

Is it possible to adjust to them?
I found they got more, and more frustrating, as time went on?

Do they still make you jump between ES and ES2, for seemingly no reason?
