*** League of Legends ***

Looks like the friends list is properly down so those that fancy gaming either xfire tals (or steam talsworthy) or link up via vent info on first post then we'll play practice games - more we get the better they will be. I'll be on in next few mins
 
Is the patch coming today or is it Friday? Patch notes look quite good to me. Mejais Soulstealer has always seemed too good compared to the tank / dps equivalents to me and it'll be interesting to see how the rebuilt Twisted Fate works. I've also got my fingers crossed that this patch helps fix the client!
 
The US client last night was fine so either the patch sorted it or they have better servers. I'm guessing it was the client. Will be a relief to have a working friends list again
 
Well apparently they've had to recode most of the client so it's not all GOA. I'm not sure when the client fixes are coming though. The EU client seems to be suffering some sort of netsplit on the friends list and chat at the moment.
 
I've created a steam group OcUK League of Legends to hopefully allow us to be able to all play more together. Anyone in the group will be able to schedule or make announcements so hopefully it's an easy way to get a message across that a game is about to start

We're always muttering about the matchmaking system, I think a large part of it is that we are a premade team - makes the game way more fun but we have to take the rough with the smooth. Anyway found this thread on the US forums which goes into MM in more detail

On another really positive note I see they are testing TT match making on the test server - really looking forward to when this goes live

started playing on EU server this weekend as i felt my high ping in the US one was affecting my performance only to be reminded how awful tier 1 games are. i unlocked my favorite hero though tryndamere so that is going to help a bit. ;)
 
What's your game name or grab the info on the first page for player names and send invites. That is if you fancy joining us :) What was your level on US?

30 in the us i've been playing this game for a long time but i'm not sure about premades... most premades i've been into were quite boring on the other hand pugs can be hilarious sometimes. am i mad that i prefer pugs? i will add u though :)

Not mad at all - play the game the way you prefer to :) I like the social aspect probably as much as the game :)
 
Playing as a PUG allows you a greater selection of heroes. Some of them are rubbish in a pre-made team unless you're outstanding with them. I personally don't like playing in PUGs at all. You just get abuse for no reason and I don't want to be in a team with people like that.

On a different note the last patch seems to have fixed a lot of the issues I had with the client. Fingers crossed it stays that way! :D

Yep the new client is much better - although I wish they would pay more attention to the matchmaking of premades, it treats all premades as pro's which is just plain wrong. I want fun in this game :) After my awesome game last night I was then brought rapidly down to earth - can't believe I can still be learning from it - learning and loving :)

On random pugs - agreed, I hate smack talk - especially as the worst is usually from the younger contingent. Don't mind it from the opposite team but from my own team it's totally unnecessary.
