I think that was done in beta when they didn't have a cap :) Though I could be wrong, but I know speed was a problem in beta.

Ohhh just watching the patchnotes - tanky dps are getting nerfed, that said they mentioned Malphite (shield from 8 to 12 secs) but not Mundo - Silent you maybe saved :) They are also increasing death timers after Level 4 - good call imho and they mentioned the minion changes hadn't worked but didn't clarify if they were going to leave them as is or change them and tune the towers. The changes to the towers seem to make Black cleaver a very good item for melting towers :)

Mundo's not a "tank" as such, although I can see them dropping his starting hp by maybe 50-75 although that wont really effect my play style that much unless they nerf cleaver (or Mundo file!! :cool:)

As for the vid, all I noticed was Pheak and the over guy swapping places non stop lol

Thats epic!! Looked just like a speeding rocket! Plus I love the fact the bot still managed to stun him mid speeding :p

High elo 5v5 teams use alistar more of a roamer giving two solo lanes. He can be very disruptive against janglers and has a decent gank, especailly at 6 when he can go behind a tower put his ult on and headbutt and stun the guy trying to hug his tower.

Because of his ult he doesn't need a ton of tanky items, econ items are good since he isn't a very good farm especially if he is roaming about.

If your trying to put him in the tank role, there are much better tanks out there, but alistar has a very unique play style so has to be play cleaverly.

Solomids Reginald Alistar is pretty good, see you can find some replays on own3d.tv
 
If anyone here is quite n00b or doesnt mind losing, which means u wont blame your team or a single person add me! Galadion is my name i play on EU im level 30, my main characters are Karthus, Amumu and going to try Panth as i got him today. Btw im not rubbish at the game i used to be a pretty badass amumu but i havent really played for a good while, Lux was the newest character when i stopped playing. Just would preffer a team that is friendly to a team that insults which was the reason i quit playing.

We're a friendly bunch on mumble, although one or two can get a bit ragey at times but it never lasts long, usually just when a team fight goes badly or a game is frustratingly lost.

I am moving to a Mac on sunday as my main rig. Does anybody on this forum have experience with the Mac client? As far as i can tell, it was supposed to be released a year ago but is still only available in closed beta. There has been no significant PR release to say what is going on (Riot :rolleyes:) however, it is possible to acquire the installer from unofficial channels.

the server has been down since around 11 this morning :(

i had one game after the servers came back from the patch and then the server died just as the game finished
