Back off my holidays so I'll be on tonight for some random fun 
With regard to the 'useless normal games' comment previously mentioned, many of us mostly play LoL for a bit of fun in the evenings. Playing ranked games doesn't particularly provide any benefit in such circumstances so normal games are just fine.
I've played a handful of duo-queued ranked games and enjoyed them but getting a good 5v5 team going can be tricky on mumble, as with ranked comes a bit more stress/seriousness which I'm sure for some is a deterrent to playing ranked in the first place.

Though tbh with the right team i'm happy to do a 5v5 ranked though why people are so wary about mucking up a ranked score (including me) is beyond me How long are the servers down for? I cant even get on the website

Fairly sure you can only surrender after 20 lol !!

Don't be so sure as Dave doesn't play 3v3 unless I am mistaken...are the surrender times different?
I think on twisted it got reduced to 15 mins from 17 mins in patch 0.111 and summoners to 20 from 25.
Yeah I'm pretty sure it's 15 on 3v3. It was the other week when myself and paul were playing it.
Does it change if they have a disconnect or anything? Our match definately ended after 9 mins.
Played another 3v3 last night, we got an ace before minions spawned, first for us!
