Well I havn't had much change to try pure casters, but I do tend to enjoy the more melee/tank type champions that may not deal super damage but at high end can jump into a pack of enemies and not instantly die. I did quite well with rammus when it was on its free week but I'm not sure which champs seem bad because I lack the skill but will be awesome if I learn to play them, and which champs may seem good but are only when against players who don't know how to counter you.

Kennen is a fun character to play.. he has ranged moved and lots of aoe that he has to get up close and personal to use... also if played right he is very hard to kill (usually because he zips in, does all his damage and zips back out again in 3 seconds)..

i have recently also bought maokai... he is an off tank in that he is not as complete a tank as rammus or shen, but with a standard build you still have 3.5k health and do lots of tank like abilities while at the same time chucking little tree nukes around :D

Oh look i've been snared/stunned/over extended foolishly.. i think not....

Sanguine pool is so totally overpowered, at least with other overpowered escape moves like Yi's ult you can at least hit him while he is ignoring all effects

Still been meaning to go on mumble, i have joined the channel a few times, but haven't dared join the lol channel yet ;)

Ah would ya shtop :D

We are a friendly crowd and more then happy to play with anyone. Log on and ask for me (I'm usually logged in 24/7) and I guarantee you'll have a good time ;)

tanky dps:
renekton, irelia, mundo, olaf, udyr

tanky casters:
ryze, vlad, morde, swain, cho'gath

they are probs the your best options for tanky champs with good damage potential.

rene is free this week and is considered on the of the best tanky dps champs in the game, so you should give him a try.

i did tank xin yesterday lol, 2 people fed yi to 7 kills before laning even ended and the other team were all AD dps builds and we didnt have a tank so i thought what the hell..

we won to lol :D yi didnt learn either he tried to 1v1 me atleast 3 times and i just absorbed his damage so easily he focused me a lot in team fights aswell lol which shows even a bad player can get feeded

After checking out the LoL wikia site and checking out the abilities of the champs and looking at some comments I decided to buy Xin and give him a try. He seems like quite a fun champ so far, with average early game abilities but once I get enough +attack speed on him he just seems to deal tons of damage and has a fair ammount of staying power due to the life he gets every 3 attacks.

Only main issue I've had so far is a game I just finished where the enemy Tryndamere was nearly insta killing our whole team, and it wasn't untill 2 min before we lost that I sold a couple items and got thornmail to try and the thornmail took him down to 60% on its own without me even attacking him. If only I got it earlier.

ur all welcome to join us in mumble, me and few r helping people lvl, i think there lvl 11
but plz join more people = more fun!!

HAHAHAHA I was expecting some awesome pro teamplay. Gotta hate it when retards do that stuff :)

That was me :(

Was on vent with him, we won are lane and the 3 randoms fed hard.. It was pretty retarded, thought he had more HP, would have been a pro move if xin somehow died :D

Bah, just joined the muble server, connected my headset, went to configuration wizard and turns out my mic has died :(

So unless it would be possible for me to join in with people on muble and just listen and use ingame text (or mumble text chat when between games)then I may just be stuck with random match games for now.

You can still join in without a Mic and there are some who do frequently but I think it is appreciated if you have one. Just join in without for now and try to get a replacement :)

Can someone explain AD and AP to me please? I've been playing this game recently but I don't really understand it haha. I've read guides and such but I can't get my head around AD and AP. Also having trouble with buying items and such, like how cheaper items build into more expensive items? I dunno.

AD = attack damage mainly a melee atribute
which makes your regular physical hits do more dmg and some abilities
AP = ability power
the stuff which makes your spells and some abilities do more damage.

depends on the champ some classes can use an AD or AP build where as some are best with a mix of both like akali and jax
some items are full finished items like a blood thirster.

the components are shown in the shop window when you click one one of the main items like a bloodthirster uses a B.f sword and some lifesteal item , the price of either or both of those 2 items is discounted from the price of a bloodthirster if you alreay own them.

lets say bloodthirster costs 3200
BF sword costs 1650
lifesteal item costs 450

if you already have a BF sword to build the finished item of a bloodthirster will cost you 1650 less and the BF sword disapears and becomes a bloodthirster

AD is attack damage which increases the damage of your auto attacks where as AP is ability power and is used for champion abilities. There are exceptions to the rule but that's the up shot of it.

As for items, that comes with time. I learned by reading guides for champions.

This would be perfectly fine (There's still a few people that don't use mics), you should have messaged one of us when you were on. I saw ya but you were off in a random channel and didn't want to bother you :D

sword of the divine is a counter for dodge (jax) and i think blind which exhaust no longer applies

the 'new' exhaust counters trynd completely... maybe quicksilver sash removes it though, not sure

Your right, as I've not played Tryne since the remake of Exhaust as I was thinking it still applied Blind :D. Still a really fun champ to play from what I remember as you can blitz a team long as you build with enough life steal to leach between kills/stuns before you use your Ult to finish team off, or run..:p
