The problem with builds like this is it can mess up your champion selection unless you make it clear your not going to fulfill your character normal role. Trying to DPS as a tank will often leave your team with no-one to initiate fights or to take damage which can easily cost you the game.
That said I've had great fun as AD Annie before

yea in randoms most people dont actually tank with tank chars anyway..
also have you ever tried tanking in a random game? no one waits for you to initiate or you charge in and no one follows.
Yeah you're right on that one! You seem to get the blame for the loss as well no mater what happens. I guess this is why everyone locks in straight away with DPS characters.
Got this downloaded last night and I'm just about to have a blast and practice a little. I've messaged tals for the passwords for the Mumble server so once I get that, I'll hopefully be on to learn some tips and have some good games against everyone

Seems like it's going to take forever to reach level 30. Been playing 2-3 games a day for over a week and I'm only level 11.
I must confess I got impatient by this time and used the various deals that were going with the champion pack from Game (which are no longer available) to but the xp boosts. Made it quite quick but I don't think it should take longer than a month without xp boost. Level 11 is good to join the group as well if you fancy playing in premades
I feel it takes a long time to hit 30 too! I've got a smurf account sat at lvl 27/8 at atm for when my cous started playing and wanted to duo with him. Have had that account since mid January and I still haven't quite reached lvl 30!
On average I would say it takes about 300 games with an even win/loss ratio to hit lvl 30.

This, got a 7 / 0 / 7 (kills / deaths / assists) match and would have got that well higher if they didn't surrender since I was just about to buy the Rabbadons Deathcap and start some proper killing.
Lux is weak but the snare helps as an escape move and the low cooldown on her ultimate makes her very useful so long as you are defensive and keep behind a turret or ally since it has huge range anyway.
What do people think to Galio though? I liked him and found him to be quite good against computer (Co-op vs AI on intermediate) but during an actual match I just got thrashed and wondering if he's not as powerful as I thought?
galios great if the enemy team is all one damage type, hes a bit weak if they are fairly well mixed and not to good if you try to play him as AP
usually with chars like galio , nunu etc people are smart enough to interupt your util anyway though

Yeah the ulti being interruptible is the real problem. I work on a build that comes out with over 200 on defence and magic resist along with 440 ap for a little damage (I just don't see the point in being a tank if you can't fight back at all, plus it gives some survivability in situations where you have some damage to push back). Problem is that is obviously end game stats if the game goes well and I find it hard to get that far in proper games but I'll probably just buy him if he goes on sale and practice more. So far I'm sticking with Lux as my main.
I'd recommend amumu for a damage dealing tank with a good ulti. His Q is a skillshot stun but not too hard to hit but his W is where the damage is. It hits a percentage of health per second for a small amount of mana which with an Abyssal Scepter really brings the pain. His ult is so good for initiating etc too.
When you first connect to the server it should automatically save to your favourites.
