*** League of Legends ***

Is there any way you can kick afk-ers from a normal game and replace them with bots? Two games in a row i had people drop out on my team at the start of the round, causing a 3rd to rage quit after 10 mins.

I am seriously considering applying for a job to work with them to sort out some of the technical issues:) For instance, the camera is extremely pants. No zoom stage interpolation with yaw gradient. No rotation. No gradient velocity zones on the mouse border edges for moving the camera. These are all things that were developed over a decade ago but have not been implemented.

I'll probably get flamed for admitting this but there is a way to change all of those, it is bannable but I've been running zoomhack for ages and don't care too much as the account is free

to be fair it was a standard feature when I played on the US servers they then restricted it for no good reason, you used to just edit the variables file in the map1.pak

Ive just noticed this and am now downloading at an amazing 4bytes/sec. At this rate ill have it by the time I am 80. Worst part is im using a 10/10 zero contention line. :(

I lie, i just had another look and am now downloading at a few meg a second... might even have a go this evening then.

Odd i had to download it round a mates last night and it downloaded 1.8GB in well under 30 mins

just seen your edit, sounds much more reasonable, maybe the P2P takes a while to ramp up :)

I had the same download issue, but changed my download settings so that peer-to-peer was disabled, upload speed set to 1 and download speed set to zero (for unlimited). This sped my download rate to 300kbs

Speaking of the download, when are they going to roll the patches into the install package. Its incredibly frustrating installing then having to wait an eon for it to complete ~11 slow, single core CPU intensive patches. Even worse on slower machines.

It's even more stupid that they are already using one of those mini-initial-download applications that then grabs the rest of the files it requires. That's the entire point of that approach, you don't need to update the installer, it does all the work itself and gets the latest files. Yet theirs doesn't.

I've decided that this game isn't for me. I am terrible at it compared to most people I play with/against and my K : D ratio is usually one of the worst on the board each and every game.

how many games have you played?

I played loads of games with tank/dps classes and failed miserably, hated the game, then tried a few with ranged spell casting types (morgana, ryze etc..) and it was a chalk and cheese, I'm very glad I persevered its one of the best games I've played in a long time :)

Lots. I'm level 30 :)

I think the reason I suck so bad is just my play style. There are loads of occasions in team fights where everyone is dancing around waiting for someone to initiate and I get terribly bored with it. I end up doing something silly and getting mashed!

hmm fair do's you can't say you didnt give it a fair shot at level 30!!

I had a recent run of 13 losses, got very frustrated but mostly down to 4v5's and feeders, not teaching you to suck eggs, but my mates scores were also very bad and I encouraged him to hug towers and play support chars (he now loves zilean) he foccuses now on assist kills and gets close to 20 every game.

just a thought :)

I know what you mean I get impatient as well, it sounds like you would be better off playing a tank. It's their job to charge in first :)

if people are farting around just go jungling, gets you lovely buffs, money and xp - then come back boosted and kitted up and feed your agressive tendancies :D

Ashe is all about keeping your distance, stay at near enough your max range and if an enemy comes at you use volley, back off a little and pepper with slow until volley is ready again, always step back if they get a bit closer. After a while you'll be able to judge how much damage an enemy can do to you so you know when to stop backing off and just shoot them down. Items are all about armour pen and attack damage really, attack speed is nice as an afterthought but you need the hard hitting first.

Play her very aggresively because you can always back off unless you're against a very quick stunner (look out for flash spells), wear someone down till they either have to back off or you can kill them by chasing. Let other people go mid lane though as you're much stronger on the side lanes especially if you have someone that can either stun or provide mana for you.

Hmm currently i usually go for attack speed.I may try for more Attack and armor pen in future games.
I tend to go dorans blade at the start and go middle.I can usually fend them off til i get my ulti around levle 7 or so at which point i recall and usually get a Tiamat(I like it for the damage and splash bonus. After i get this the money usually starts to roll in from the multi kills from splash damage) if i have the money and go back and unleash everything on the champ in the middle.Usually if i have worn him down a bit before i teleport back i can get a kill.

Ashe is a good mid laner to get to her alt at lev 6. I tend to defer to mid lane if we have a strong carry who will set the team up better by getting a level jump.

I'd focus more on damage tbh and attack speed but others can do the maths as volley will just pull your money in :) I have no mana items as I use the runes to provide that.

Interesting fact I just learnt in our last game, if you have a banshees veil then Twisted Fate can't see you with his ult (unless you are near someone without it) - incredible x hundred hours in game and I never realised that.

Credit to I think Xalan for pointing that out to me - great game just then, one of my favourites for our comeback once the team fights started kicking in

Yeah i think my 1st few items from now on will be damage or armor piercing then attack speed later on.
My runes are currently attack speed really as i am only level 11 and they dont seem that good.Would you reccomend purchasing a few tier 2 runes for the moment. If so what should i go for.Am i best going for mana/health replen or just mana/health in general.Any tips are appreciated :)

Thanks

Till your level 20 I wouldn't bother with runes, sure they will give you benefit till level 20 but after level 20 it's effectively wasted IP. Mana regen - i'd go for a Meki pendant till you have runes that cover it that should give you enough and if you want magic resist the challice isn't that much more to move to. Without runes you may find you need meki first. Also if you have spare cash on the first item buy some health potions - they can enable you to stay in lane far longer at the beginning, I generally only buy health potions at the beginning

I actually disagree with this point of view completely. The tier 2 runes are very cheap and per rune its basically pennies compared to how much you gain after a battle; hardly wasted IP.

Personally as a level 14 i stack on magic resist runes for early game protection
