*** League of Legends ***

After the finals I haven't watched much of the competitive scene, especially as we are all in that unknown bit that is pre-season :D

Jat & Deman are definitely my favourite casters, when these games were first being shown (before tournament client was available) Zenon and his beautiful hair was also great, shame he stepped back from the role.
 
Had a year off and back to the game this week. Did my 10 promo games and went 7-3 getting into silver 1. Not too shabby.

Surprised that they only released 5 champs since I last played and I had a 40 match chat ban on my account but somehow still got a skin reward..
 
After 400 unranked games and mastering several of the roles I decided to try ranked, got into silver 3, my experience has been pretty bad with players behaving worse than on unranked and just lacking skill. You get people who can only play one role and refuse to play any other. I find better players on unranked for some reason

I think it may be a case of having different MMR from normal and ranked games?

You may find ranked games are a bit more flamey because of the competetive nature, people have something on the line so naturally try a bit harder and just in general strung a bit tighter, whereas in normals people are much more relaxed about it.

The major gripe I have (which happens in normals too) is when someone locks in a role without any communication, lucky enough the majority of ranked games I've played people do tend to communicate and like you, it's really well worth it to learn every role and have a few champions just to fill gaps in situations like this.

Worst is blind pick hate the insta lockers or ppl that say mid or feed so such kiddies but only a few best thing is to play with mates as pre hehe
 
It's a meaningless discussion. The dota guys will say their game is better and the lol will say theirs is. Lets move on very hastily and not have any comparisons. I've been quite pleased up till now that DOTA players felt the need to come in here and tout their wares because their game is sooo good :)
 
Eh I play both and I prefer dota. And me saying its a joke was directed more at him saying the community is good. I'm not sure why he even brought it up, just came into the thread saying its better when nobody even mentioned dota.
 
In the very first post it describes that LoL is comparable to DoTa and HoN which I why I gave a responce stating which I preferred out of the 2 games I'd played didn't see at the time this thread was so big it was just my opinion xD.

And I had already moved past the post and started about the blind pick game mode
 
Well you didn't even mention HoN, so it just seemed like you were pointlessly bashing Dota. It was written 5 years ago anyway.
 
Id havent played HoN so cant compare to a game ive never played yeah its an old thread but surely still valid :) either way wasnt a bash just an opinion :)

Think there is need for a new official thread like the other games :) with all the ****** haha

It is subjective and you're right re putting that comment in the first post so I have removed it :)

Out of interest if people have stuff they want presented on the first page that they think are useful or need changing send me a PM. Quite happy to amend to reflect the current game.

I was just reading up on that :).

Was also looking at the steam ocuk lol group but its invite only how would you go about getting an invite.

And i dunno if its as im on my mobile but the esports calender was empty and i k know that the LCS ar currently in there Spring Split....
