Leaked 360 dash fall update

The problem with clan support from the dash is that, people can be members of different clans for different games, how is that going to work?

They might have a clan for Halo 3, but another clan for RS:V and yet another for driving games......

Same way it is proposing organizing the friends list, by game.

So you have a friends list for Halo, A friends list for RS:V etc
Then there are also Clan Lists for the same.

Seems a simple solution and answer to me.

Microsoft are not stupid, if they think they will get some sales from Xvid then Xvid will appear. Does WMV actually earn them any money?

They will add support for what ever format is most popular (eventually)
Xvid has always, and will always be more popular, so why in the last Two years have they not added it? Because of their own format WMV, a conflict of interests. It's not the fact if WMV earns them money or not, it's fact they it's their technology and they are hardly likely to relent and admit that Xvid is superior and or more popular, this is Microsoft we are talking about.

MP3 and MP4 have been added, and Microsoft have WMA.

MS have made a bit of a push into the open source market recently
they have stated that they will support BluRay or HDDVD on the 360 they have no preference. I see this as yet another way of offering more choice to the consumer.

It is something that has been asked for a lot and MS would like to pride themselves on their ability to meet their consumers demands.

Maybe I'm just being overly optimistic because I would like Xvid support.

Thats because Americans spell it with a Z, Krono you must have it set to US somewhere.

I cant get the British spellings :(

It might be because my work internet gateway is in Germany... Bloody Germans they have a lot to answer for. Like WW1, WW2 and SAP.

TBH I haven't even bothered to try to change my Firefox spelling checking at home due to my failed attempts at work.

Don't suppose you work for a very large US outsourcing operation??

Because I'm nice:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:3

FireFox defaults to US spelling regardless of region.

Click English British and it does it all for you, no setting up required.

Edit: Oh Krono; 826

I too would love to see it and I don't blame you for being optimistic, I just think it's a very long shot (I hope I'm wrong) Also as far as Blu Ray on 360, Sony will never ever give them the licence surely not?

Is it theirs to own?

Why would they stop them if it is theirs? Millions more discs to sell on to 360 owners.

MS have already said if it came down to and Blu-Ray becomes defacto they'll make a blu-ray drive for the 360.

I'm sure Blu Ray is Sony's and that it licences other companies to allow them to produce drives? Please correct me if I am worng. In case you hadn't noticed, sony and MS are in a bitter console war, I can't see one allowing the other to use it's patented hardware
