Led Zeppelin reunion now virtually certain

I'm in the ballot but if i don't get a ticket I'm up for breaking in as i'm sure most people are who don't get tickets:p

edit: I agree with the above statement the 2nd coming of christ hasn't got **** on the reform of LZ:p

Apparently only those with concert programmes from 1975 can apply :)

I'm in then! Still got mine but not the ticket stub! By mistake the wife threw out the NME and Melody maker reviews the week after they were printed.

dmpoole, you mentioned the lazer... the most striking thing for me was Jimmy's double fretted guitar and the fact that he used a violin bow to make sounds heard on Physical Graffiti.

When they did the acoustic set I also remember Robert Plant saying that it was the first time all 4 of them had sung on stage together.
On the first night I went they kicked in with Rock n Roll/Sick Again and there was a terrible crackling sound all the way through.
Plant asked us to be patient while the roadies sorted it and in the end it was a guitar lead.
Planty said something like "I don't know, we've got millions of pounds of equipment and a £2 guitar lead ruined it".

When the tickets went on sale here in Stoke me and my mate decided to queue outside the shop for a 10am Saturday morning sale.
We decided to take our sleeping bags at 8pm on the previous night and when we got there we were first in the queue.
When the doors opened we were still the only two in the queue :D

We decided to buy 2 tickets each and when we got there we could sell them at a profit.
When we got there even the ticket touts couldn't sell them and we ended up finding two girls who had tickets for the following friday but wanted to swap nights.
Thats how I ended up going twice.

In 1975 dmpoole, I’d have wanted to swap bodily fluids with two girls on a Friday night but how times have moved on…… with my expanding waistline I don’t think I could even get in a sleeping bag nowadays, sleeping on the pavement with my arthritic shoulder, having to wear two woollen hats because of my creeping alopecia and nowhere to put my false teeth………………… :D

Thank goodness for the eternal youth of people like Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Cliff Richard (I think, maybe, I’ve got the last one wrong don't I mean Sir Keith Richard(s)?)

I got a snog as well :D

FACT -
For the first few Stones albums Keith Richards was known as Keith Richard because the manager thought it would be a good idea because of Cliffs popularity.
He's got to live with that for the rest of his life and thats probably why he's a junkie.

......because of Cliffs popularity.

In this household Cliff is about as popular as a wet fart in a mosque!

I hope you won't be playing any of his stuff like "We're all going on a Summer Holiday" if I get the chance to see your gig at Northwich on 27 Oct!

Surely

Communication Breakdown - Led Zeppelin!

Emasculation Shakedown - Cliff Richard?

This is going to sound really sad but for the last 20 years I have spent my breakfasts and dinnertimes with the same bloke.
Very early on we established a dislikeness for Cliff Richard (my mate hates him with a passion) and every day that we spent with each other Cliff would always come up in conversation.
It didn't matter what we were talking about, Cliff would always find a place in it.
In fact, last week were talking about the Zep reunion and that turned to how much better Cliff would be taking over from Plant and the likelyhood of a Cliff/Shadows reunion.
I suppose you have to be there really to understand the BS we came out with.
On friday we parted company and strangely I will miss the Cliff side of our conversations.
