Leeds Utd

I'm actually quite happy with action so far this transfer window. Kandol has done OK but is no great shakes, but Heath has done well, Elliot made a good debut, Flo will add a physical presence we're sorely lacking with Cresswell out and we're still looking at other players.

Not sure on Kandol myself. His attitude and workrate is alright, but he doesn't have the class needed for the step up IMO. Think we should let him go back to Barnet when this loan expires personally.

LOL. Turns out we've gone and signed him for £200k!

Yeah I know, thats why I said I was pretty happy. Rather have someone that might not make the grade but gives his all than have someone good enough that doesn't care.

Out of sheer curiousity when will Cresswell be back ?

I thought he played a game a month or two back..

We'll have Healy and Flo up front, very contrasting styles. Could be brilliant.

Myself and my father have been talking about Leeds not challenging for a ball in the air for the best part of a season now.

We keep knocking the ball up to Healy, Moore and Blake but none of them challenge in the air and we see the ball coming back at us.

Or Blake and Flo, equally contrasting :)

Cressy came back, I'm actually in fear of him not returning at all atm. It was a rumour I heard a while back and the longer he is out for the more backing it has.

Not sounding too good. When Cresswell comes back we will have a lot of forwards.

Kandol, Healy, Blake, Flo, Moore, Cresswell, Beckford, Howson and Bayly ( a great U19 player).

I thought we would go into the market for more natural right/left sided players.

Surely Lewis will retire in the next couple of years

Don't we all. Unfortunatly it was unsustainable.

It was brilliant, you actually went into every match confident of the three points.
Yup nd you would get robbed 4 goals by newcastle in the last 20 mins, was awsome going to leeds, you never lost at home sept from that freak game... loved it...

Fairly sure Healy will move on quite soon. Blake is knocking on a bit, Flo is too, can't see them playing for more than a year or two more each. Moore isn't good enough, it remains to be seen whether Kandol is, and Howson and Bayly are still young.

Not good news on the Cresswell front :(

He's my favourite forward in Leeds colours and has rarely strung about 5 matches in a row together, has had bad luck :( Can remember going to Bootham Crescent and watching him, wishing Leeds would get him :D

On the Leeds heading front, all our strikers are all lightweight, even Flo, its only Cresswell who can fight for the ball in the air or on the ground. Healy, Blake, Moore and Kandol are quite small so thats where we were lacking heading wise. Hopefully Flo can turn that around.

Anyone know the chances of getting Dean Morgan? Whats he like? Not another forward is he?!

Very glad Nicholls is back, and Sullivan too, IMO one of the best keepers in the League, age shouldn't be a matter.

Stack didn't do too badly for us but I agree, Sulli deserves his place.

Dean Morgan is employed as a left sided winger for Luton IIRC. Would mean retaining Lewis at left back, if Morgan is quick and can put in dangerous balls we'd have a very strong left side.

Hmm, Lewis still isn't a defender really though, thats what worries me. But I guess thats why we brought Elliott in, its probably doubtful we get Morgan so it will be Lewis back on the left of mid which is good.

I prefer Lewis at leftback than as a winger. He does well there IMO, and plays there for his country too.

Fair enough, I think we need to take advantage of his attacking skills over defending, he's got decent pace and has a very good left foot when crossing. I like the fact we have Elliot and that experience there. I'm happy to be proven wrong though and would love for us to bring Morgan in as hes getting rave reviews.

sorry but he wont..thats exactly the mistake Sunderland made

he isnt a strong physical presence and he isnt a target man

Reid used him as such, and thought he could do it because he is tall..he cant

he is a skillful player and prefers the ball to feet with his back to goal

he hasnt much pace so cant run at people

by the time our crappy management team at that time worked this out it was all too late

Wise has played with him beofre so hopefully should know what to expect..but the Leeds fans need to realise he isnt a big bustling centre forward like, say, Geoff Horsefield..so dont expect it

I think so too...

And as for signing Flo, wtf!!! Flo?!?!?! Hes like 33 now aint he, hes dying... hes at the age where football players think they are mature when they are crap, i dont like him.

Thats right go wasting money on old players, were gona do effin amazing at this rate. Wait! We already are...

Morgan sometimes plays as a forward for us but mainly left side midfield/winger. He is quick but sometimes lacks a final ball. He also gets the odd goal.

We have just sold Edwards though so I would hate to lose our left side also!

All kind of rumours going round in regards to transfer activity, Zola coming out of retirement to help us out of the pickle were in! Chris Perry on his way..

Queue's are forming for Healy.
