Just announced at E3 2009, coming to 360 and PC.

There was a chainsaw in the trailer, looks like there will be more weapon types this time around :)

Crazy they are bringing out another one already. Killing Floor is better than the first and already has a chainsaw. Not sure if i will bother tbh.

Wow - what a kick in the teeth to the current community.

The current game is not even a year old and Valve hasn't even delivered on its original promise of regular DLC and updates.

I'd like to think I won't buy this, but I'm so hopelessly addicted to L4D that I know I will. Valve have just put themselves in the same category as EA with this stunt though.

(not a kitten)

Pretty angry about this, there's still loads of life in the game and I don't want to be spending more money on sequel that's not needed! Please be lies!

Got E3 on in the backgroud so didn't pay full attention. But wasn't it just on the 360 exclusive trailers section? might be just rebranded with some future content in it thats on Steam, but then put together in a package with everything else for the console owners?

Well colour me gob smacked. This does not sound very Valve at all. I thought we had a year or two left of L4D DLC.

There are new survivors, infected, maps, weapons inc axes, chainsaws, frying pans, incinedary ammo, changable locations, wandering witches etc.

While it sounds good, it kinda sounds like a cash in. The L4D mod scene hasn't even had a chance to set off yet.

tbh honest l4d is a few hrs of fun at best any more its boring.

to say 2 is on its way before anything of any substance has been done is a joke.

It's definitely too early imo, there's loads of life still left in Left For Dead (there's a pun there somewhere :D).

Why don't they just update the one we have and make it even better than it already is?

I read a rumour about a week ago that they were planning on making this announcement, just hoped it wasn't true.

Huh, i don't see the need for a L4D2. There is nothing wrong with the original L4D. All it needs is new content such as campaigns and weapons.

Obviously it's all about the money, they know lots of XBOX fans will purchase.
