---Left 4 Dead 2 Thread---

Suppressed uzi is clearly just the uzi, new auto shotty is... the old auto shottie. Can't really see the point in melee weapons either.

So the weapons are just a tweak to justify the 2 on the end of the name.

Rock, Paper, Shotgun said the changeable environment changed a graveyard. Is that it?

New map looks quite fun though.

Just to dodge the hypocrite tag here, I will be the first to pre-order assuming a decent price tag, but this does completely smack of an (uncharacteristic) cash in.
 
Sounds like fun - paid full whack for l4d and to be honest will happilly snap this up once it's available - gotta hope there's some truth to that $10 comment for us who already have it (frankly who doesn't lol).

It doesn't come out for another 6 months.
I've not got a direct issue with a sequel already, just the fact it doesn't seem to have a lot of content. I guess it comes down to how much they charge.
 
So is it being made with a new engine or what? I wasn't expecting the 'sequel' to still be on the old Source engine. :S
 
Chet noted that they were discussing including the original four Left 4 Dead campaigns with Left 4 Dead 2. The thinking is that this would make things easier for consumers.

Well that at least would be ideal (What about the other game modes?), but again after reading what’s new it still sounds like a well fleshed out expansion, and not full price sequel.
 
Why are people so angry about this? :confused:

I'm angry because it's going to be using the TF2 styling which sort of takes away the fear element when everything looks like a cartoon, get the feeling that's not why everyone else is angry though
 
why they dont just release DLC? the game is still new... some people dont even know about it... :/ im not sure if im gunna be buying it at full price.. if it's something like 10-15quid is ok... but still i dont see the point of new game.. :/
 
There's no way Valve of all people have made a sequel already!

It's still ages off but it does sound good yet I can't see why they couldn't tie the two games togther in such a way that you could play the No Mercy campaign first then literally hop into one of the new campaigns next without having to load up a new game entirely.
