Legend of Grimrock - Dungeon Master Fan's !

I don't find it as expansive as DM. The limited magic, as in selecting a school, is rather stultifying and the lack of attack option is weird as well. No "jabjabjabjabjabjab" those screamer plebs and no associated levelling dependent on the skills you use.

It is pretty good but misses the mark a little.

Yes, I can see what you mean. It is a little simplified in comparison, I'm just glad we've finally got something of the same ilk. :)

I read somewhere they've released (or are on the point of releasing) the mod kit for it, with a bit of luck we'll get a DM mod in the nice shiny new engine before too long.

This is available DRM free directly from the developer for 50% of the usual price for the next 10 hours:

http://www.grimrock.net/store/

I hadn't heard of it until earlier today but as a Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder and later Stonekeep fan I shall definitely be buying!

Thanks for this, I remember DM from my youth :) ahh the days of the Atari ST. When it came out I remember reading a interview with FTL about the devs making the disk drive randomly read the disk to make you think you were about to be attacked.
