Legend of Mir

What an amazing game this was... I played as Psi on Phoenix in the 'Elite' guild, and the GM was called Petroni I believe. I seem to remember that at one point, there was only one level 30+ player on the server who wasn't in our guild (DiabloDoom?), we had all the rest! Although there were only 5 or 6 in total at that point.

Best game ever. They were developing a Mir X if I recall which was an updated Mir 2, better graphics, spell graphics etc. Not like Mir 3 but a huge overhaul and from memory it was supposed to come out next year. Check out LOMCN (Legend of mir online community network) loads of private server details and details about MirX.

One of the questions on Ben's server is about me... Something like "Who is the gayest player on Mir" The answer was me :D

Remember Trooperr?

I remember Trooperr, I didn't really know him though. I was called DoomHammer (on the longshot that someone might remember), I have no idea what years I played, I'd been playing a while before the Spider patch, that's all I can remember right now, I think I got to level 28 in 3 years or something... I was only a kid though. Amazing game, really good memories. I remember buying a Dragon Sword at like level 24, back when they were around 700-800k and that was quite a fair bit of money. I spent all my time in the mines killing zombies and mining. So basic but so good lol.

I think Trooperr was the first player I saw with a DSS. He was in our guild for a while, seemed an okay guy. He'd going on PKing sprees if I remember rightly.

I think I remember DiabloDoom (or maybe DigitalDoom, but a name a biut like that rings a bell) and definitely remember Trooperr.
Didn't know either of them, but saw them around.

This was my first MMO and despite the fact I'd probably now hate the lack of direction I really enjoyed it.

Does anyone remember that program someone wrote to log you in automatically so you wouldn't get caught by a keylogger?

DigitalDoom was DD's guild used to have some cracking fights and arguments with him, til he got banned for using MirLander

Sorry for the bump but just searched for the forums for any threads on this as I was having a nostalgia trip

TubzTheGreat checking in :D

I loved this game so fricking much. No game has ever come close in terms of community.

I remember my first day running around then seeing WolfBlass and Hardonnails, the two leaders of EmeraldFusion. They gave me like a little trial to suss me out, and then let me join the guild. A few months later and I had my first real sense of responsibility, taking the lower level guys on a small hunt to WT, we did really well and I got promoted within the guild. Was part of EF for a year or two, before eventually getting kicked out for an argument and joining Apex at their prime

Got married in game (lolololol) to Claz2K1 inside Zuma Temple Kings Room, was epic, and for my gift, was given a Judgement Mace with +1 DC and +2 Luck, quite the gift. Remember owning Sabuk Wall for absolutely ages, and had so many good memories in the battles

Too many times I'd play until the early hours of the morning. Only to wake up in my computer chair staring at a black and white screen surrounded by bugs in Bug Cave. I remember once doing that and losing that mace, only to be given it back after making a thread on the forums

I used to be friends with Carl (the guy who did the TV show) in game as he was a part of our guild, although it was private at the time. So regularly got good tv spots.

Oh the memories

I also have fond memories of this game, started playing right at the end of beta.

I only made it to about 23/24, had a mage and a tao. I remember going to (I think it was) Wuma a couple of times and waiting in a queue behind other guilds. Good times. :)

God it was amazing!!!
I really wish i could play again now lol...i had a Tele ring and got repelled when i was messing around with it on the floor. thought no one could push me off it but that didnt stop a stupid mage!

Haha yeah I remember that happened with someone in BW, easter event with the hens, one dropped a DSS, he dropped it and stood on it. Then got shoulder dashed off of it :D

Played Mir3 to death was on the euro servers, gelu i think it was called.

Loved it, was actually good at pvp. I think if it was re-deigned they would ruin it. Well if they make it first person.

Bring back my tao anyday.

Mir3 just never felt the same to me, I think what made Mir2 so great was the community and the forums. You had some almost famous characters in that game, Wayne, bullpit, Trooperr, and you felt like you knew everyone?

Duckbill wrote that program IIRC. That guy was awesome, he used to quite often lend me both his muscle rings so I could equip a Judgement Mace on my Tao :D. They weren't exactly easy to get hold of!

Duckbill!!! What a legend he was, remember everyone said he looked like Dwayne Dibley

Did anyone go to Mirfest? Those rich players actually paid for a field, a stage and some decent music to turn up, was amazing given it was all for people they'd never met

It wasn't quite the same, but still brilliant. Me & my brother played the most recent Mir 3 Europe in Apex with Wayne :)
