I finished it yesterday! I didn't get all the hearts, although I found most of them, but I only have about 4 bugs. I'll probably go back to it later to try and find everything, huge game

I really enjoyed it from start to end, I'll try not to spoil anything because I'm sure lots here have still to complete it, but I could see why they decided to use MIDI music instead of orchestrated towards the end of the game.

It's nitpicking a bit because most of the game is so fantastic, the dungeons for instance were great for the most part, but I thought the towns were a bit lacking in interesting NPCs with character.

I think it's inevitable that it'll get compared to OoT, one thing I missed from OoT was the emphasis on the songs and stuff from the ocarina. I can think of loads of tunes that were new on OoT, and I heard some of the memorable ones in TP, but there weren't many that were new in TP. Things like the windmill song and the temple of time music from OoT will be stuck in my head for years to come.

All in all worthy addition to the series though. Favourite part for me was the new items/weapons, I liked how you could attach bombs to your arrows. Horseback fighting had some real wow moments too.

I'm playing it on my Gamecube and having a great time. Taking it easy and not resorted to using a guide so far. I've just got the Master Sword and can change from wolf to human at will. Spent about 20 hours on it so far, best game I've played in a very long time.

I have discovered the fishing hole...I dont need to do the quest anymore now..I'm just going to fish

The length and open endedness of this game is perfect. I hate really open ended games as I get mored and lose interest without a goal and Zelda TP seems to have got the balance perfect. I even bothered to get all the heart pieces (no guides are necessary for this, it's so straightforward how to find them all) and that's something I'd never usually do.

Top marks Nintendo!

Im getting annoyed with it.
Im trying to get the heart piece from the race, and for the life of me, i cant beat my first time of 1:22. It doesnt matter if i take shortcuts, or the normal route, i cannot beat it, and its really annoying me now!
Other than that though, good laugh. :p

Hi, I have two fidhing related questions:-

1. How on earth do I get that blooming sinking lure

2. In the 'fish journal', which fish is under the ordan catfish, and where can I find it. I've caught al the others on the page, just not that one

34 hours played so far, I've been avoiding traveling to the desert, just milling about collecting stuff and doing mini-quests
:)

Thanks
Ash

I want to get it for the Gamecube but I've only found it on fleaBay so far, usually at around £60 - which is silly money for a game. :(

play the rollgoal game to get a frog lure, once you've lure fished for a pike, a catfish and a bass, you will find the sinking lure in the fishing hole's northwest corner cove by dropping a bobber line, if Hena sees you using it, she'ill take it away.

Did a bit more faffing around, and then decided to complete the game.
Good boss battle i thought. Thought the final bit was easy though.
Tbh, i thought fighting the darknuts were harder. And two of them,, is it just me, or is it a right pain in the rear, as the only way to get any hits on them is to side step them, slice their back, and hope the other doesnt block!

Doesn't TP have the counter attack move like in Wind waker? Pretty much guarantee a hit and escape theirs with 1 move.

Yes it does but you cannot use your shield when doing it.

Zeldas are always easy games.

30 hours in and just completed the Temple of Time. It's the first zelda game i've played and i'm really enjoying it. Will definitely start playing the older zelda games if they get released on the Virtual Console.

go on ebay and find a copy of Zelda Wind waker that comes with Ocarina of time as a bonus disc. You'll be amazed all over again. They are both excellent.

I've only played Link tot he past, Link's awakening (50%), Oracle of Ages (10% couldn't get into it), Windwaker (still am now, about 70% at the mo) and a bit of ocarina of time.

Judging from the videos in gamspot and my own experience, the ones to play are Link to the past, Ocarina of time, Windwaker, and twilight princess.

From experience the ones to play are:

Ocarina of Time
Links Awakening
A Link to The past
Majoras Mask
Twilight Princess
Oracle of Ages/Seasons

Windwaker was pants, they ran out of time/ideas half way through and had you doing long dull collecting missions.
