Legend of Zelda. How are people finding it?

I'm left handed and it doesn't make any differences if you are a lefty or a righty.

No matter what way you swing the sword it still defaults the same way it has done in all the other games.
I meant that it would feel weird for the user if they either had to use the remote right handed as the sword yet see it swing on screen in his left or equally if they had switched it so that the nunchuck controlled the sword with your left hand and the remote controlled the shield - both would feel odd for a right-handed player. I appreciate that it makes absolutely zero difference in terms of the Wii translating motions in to on-screen actions though.

It is the whole world, don't need to read the link above as I flicked through the offical guide last week (for the Wii version) and at the end it had 20 pages or so dedicated to the GC versions, with maps thats mirrored to the wii version.

Is there any reason why they made it mirrored? Surely not because Link is now right handed and somehow it was easier to program that way? Maybe just to make things a little different?

Yeah, there might be some puzzles which specifically require the sword to be on a certain side. Of course, it might just be that it means less testing and tweaking.

From Wikipedia:
In the Wii version of Twilight Princess, Link is right-handed, despite his famous left-hand preference. Miyamoto noticed that players preferred wielding their "swords" right-handed, but by that point, all the maps, bosses and models had already been designed with a left-handed stance in mind. The "simplest" solution was to invert the entire game horizontally (ironically, there is no mode for left-handed people). In the GameCube version, Link remains left-handed, and the maps and player guides for the two versions are mirror versions of each other.[33]Anything in the game referring to east/west or left/right is changed accordingly between the two versions.

That sucks imo, for all us lefty's out here we want our sword in the other hand! :(

would have been nice to be able to choose lefty or righty.

I was on about 24hrs at that point, done a few side quests and generally taking my time, loving every minute of it so far too :o)

Got my component Video cable today.. so looking forward to crisper res on my plasma.. the composit looks so wishy washy.. although not as bad as i was expecting :)

i think the dungeons have been really good upto now (just about to enter the boss room in the temple of time). The temple of time is a bit bland and the statue crap can be a bit finicky but on the whole its good. The snowpeak dungeon (not really a "dungeon" so to speak but i suppose its classed as one) was the best for me so far but the others have all been brilliant.

Think i'm almost 30 hours into it.

I said it in another thread, but I think the temple of time is the worst zelda dungeon ever, by quite some way. Not including the last two mind, they dont really count.

Think I must be getting older or something. When OoT came out it was the first adventure type game I played constantly and got hooked onto. With TP it's good and i'm about 10 hours in, but thats since the 11th December. Just don't find myself drawn to it, only play it occasionally when im in the mood.

...when you repeatedly attacked a chicken with a sword, it would call a gang of chickens to attack you. In this game, it goes to a cut scene showing the chicken. You can then use the analogue stick to control the chicken for a short period of time & tap the 'A' button to make the chicken fly. You may find this ability to be of use at some point in Kakarico village !

erm when & why? I can't see any use for it myself

Im really enjoying it, ive done the temples and ive gone back to find zelda now im just running around as a dog cant remember what im suppose to do but its fun :D

Im gonna hop back on this in a mo, well maybe but my 360 has been neglected for over a week so need to share the love ;)

Also damn you with Comp cables its impossible to find one round my way

Well, this is my first Zelda experience but so far I'm absolutely loving it. Playing it with my son, so it takes him slightly longer to work out some of the puzzles than it would if I was playing on my own, but it's good fun nonetheless. We're only a few hours into it, and are still near the beginning bu we're having a ball :D

Well my total playing time after tonight is now nearly 7 hours and i've just finished the First Temple.

I could have probably done it quicker, but I'm not rushing it. :)
