Lenovo Legion 5 Pro

Yesterday I ordered a 5 Pro 5600H, RTX 3060 with 32GB RAM and two 1TB SSDs plus 3 years on-site support for £1299 from Lenovo (10% off in flash sale). Delivery time is supposed to be two/three weeks so we'll see what actually happens. I was considering a refurb XPS 17 so this has saved me over a grand. I've been using a 1440p screen for nine years so I expect I can live without 4K for another year or three. It should be a useful step up from my 14" Ideapad 5.

For those who are contemplating the non pro, I've had both.

The build quality of the non pro is excellent and to be honest I prefer the black/blue colour to the more silvery colour of the pro.

The only reason I'm keeping the pro is that the bigger desktop space is needed for work.

Hoping the rumour of Currys restocking today (L5P 3070) is true!

Is their £1499 more expensive than what Lenovo would be selling it for onsite? I know I can use the 10% newsletter discount on Lenovo however

Newsletter discount hasn't been working on the pro recently

The non pro 3070 model is a 5800h cpu not 5600h.

I went for the non pro earlier this week and don't regret it. Was always going going get an external monitor whichever model I plumped for.

Samsung G7 arrived yesterday and the pairing is superb, smooth frame rates and able to run the games I've tried so far run smoothly at ultra settings

That's not quite right, you can spec the non pro model with 5600 and 3070 on the Lenovo website.

dont really gel with gaming laptops if i'm honest they still anit a patch on a desktop performance, run hot loud and mine could'nt oc that well (micron memory) screen was ok but used my main monitor on hdmi and only got 144hz. also got offered a new 3080 suprimx so thought id rather have that

Apparently the all AMD Legion 5 Pro will be out soon with the 6800. Similar price too if the rumours are to be believed.
I’ve been tempted by this option too.

my concern(s) however would be futureproofing/longevity as this is a ‘new’ path for AMD to take and early adopters could have a bumpy road. But I could just be over thinking it?
