It wasn't really a drop tbh, I'd call it more of a pre-order since ETAs are looking like July for delivery.
I'm not sure how you'd check when they become available, my suggestion would be check a few times a day and make sure you are subscribed to this thread.

My delivery date was moved forward middle of last week by 2.5 weeks, so July has become shipping 12th May, arriving 21st May. So they expect to have it manufactured and ready to ship 2.5 weeks from now, fingers crossed no one broadsides their ship in the suez canal!

There's 2 discount levels:
10% off with newsletter sign up

Sometimes there's an additional unidays code.
If you look on HUKD it'll show you the prices people are paying.
I got mine for £1300 maxed out apart from a second SSD. Used Unidays and a £50 off code. With the newsletter discount it was about £1400.

Nice!! I actually cancelled my first order as I forgot to use my uni email and accidentally left the second SSD, spec’d over £1550, after dropping the unwanted SSD and using my uni account, 5800H RTX 3070 and 16gb came in under £1300. Slid way way back in the queue but my mistake, never mind.
When it first went on sale it was about £1500 for a similar if not the same spec so I’m really happy.
No such thing as MaxQ anymore, the manufacturer can specify any TGP between the old sort of MaxQ level of power, and as much as they’ll allow (and I think, they don’t have to tell you!?) The maximum nvidia allowed for a mobile RTX 3070 is 125w + 15w boost (not sure but I guess this might be limited by time or temperature?)

Should only take a week to arrive. Mine is due on the 4th May. They send via air freight.
That would be great, I assumed it was boat due to their 2 week estimate. I’ve been watching a few videos online and haven’t found anyone who took the cooler off. I’d heard they might use a liquid metal TIM but can’t remember where. I put liquid metal on my Y540 and temps dropped so much I had fan control issues when starting cold (it constantly revs to 100% on and off for anything from 0.5-5 seconds at a time, presumably teetering on and off the fan stop temperature and repeatedly hitting the initial spin up % - after a few minutes of silly ness it stops doing it and goes quiet around 45c-50c it’s the right fan that does it, so that’s the left when it’s flipped upside and the case is open which if memory serves correct.... is the GPU...
