As the title says Lewis will be trying to beat Vettels time, because the last time he did it was in the wet and he set an amazing time. Programme starts at 8:00 on BBC 2. I cant call it if he will beat the time to close to call.

Wouldn't surprise me if lewis bought one of those cars to practice in seeing as he's so competitive and desperately wanted to be top.

Nothing wrong it it though imo if he did :D

Let us be honest, the time test on tg is not at all realistic as a measure for results. That said, in the 'stig' book, he did suggest that Lewis was unbelievably fast whilst being unbelievably casual which would support the time he got. I doubt they let him do thousands of laps, hell, I doubt they needed to, didn't McLaren do significant amounts if testing with the mp412c at the tg track? Would have given him plenty of experience if he did some of the driving for them.

Anyway, shows he is unbelievably quick, whether he's faster than anyone else though can not be judged by the tg race

6 years at McLaren:
"Can I go back to Top Gear?"
"No!"

2 weeks at Mercedes:
"Can I go back to Top Gear?"
"Sure"

(yes I know this isn't what happened, but hoodie wearing sofa sitting Hamilton rather than Rocket Red covered sponsor T Shirt Hamilton is part of the reason he left)

Hamilton left for 31 million and five reasons, let's be under no illusions. McLaren played their part too - an unsuccessful car and sponsors who were unhappy with the image of Hamilton compared to the one that first joined F1. He remains a great driver over a lap, a good racer and still has time on his side to prove that he is more than that.

Pretty sure he already knew he'd beaten Vettel but he did genuinely look suprised for a moment that he'd beaten him by that much.

Reliable time keeping or not, 1.1 seconds is pretty impressive.

Give 0.5 seconds to reaction time of the man pressing the "stop" button on the timer and he is still 0.6 seconds ahead.

As others have said, at least he is on the podium for something this year :)

Wasnt really that surprising - good for him, but so what lol

LH really wanted it to be recognised that his first visit was on an oily track as well, he didnt want to let it go until JC recognised that lol
