LG 34GK950G, 3440x1440, G-Sync, 120Hz

I'm personally not worried... I wouldn't buy the Dell until the LG comes out and is in the hands of people who can comment. If it achieves 120Hz with ease and the Nano IPS offers something over regular IPS, it will be worth the premium I think. That said, the £850 that the Dell can be had for is certainly attractive. I can't believe the 950G is far off what with it being available to order (and in stock) in some EU stores already, so I think its UK arrival must be imminent.

I think we will know everthing on IFA BERLIN next week.

Stay tuned

(sorry I have been on annual leave) what do you need?
Thanks for answering.
Well, we are worried about the refresh rate.
You said 34GK950G uses UW5 panel, which is 144Hz. Due to DP 1.2 GSync module, you said that the refresh rate will be at 120Hz. However, in LG HongKong website, the product is listed as 100Hz and overclocked to 120Hz, like the actual Alienware AW3418DW or the Acer Predator X34P. Also listed as 100Hz and oc to 120 on the info sheet. So..
Will be 144hz and downclocked to 120? 120 native? 100 native and overclocked?

Thanks.

Any news on LM490DQ1 panel? Any update on specifications? Are the plans for production in September intact? Where can we expect a monitor with this panel?

Curious about that one too, as I've heard nothing. Is the LM490DQ1 intended as a gaming monitor or for professional use... it's IPS so could go either way (or both). I've no idea what the refresh rate is, but I don't think this is nano-IPS, unlike the 950G.

@Daniel - LG - the 34GK950G UK release must be soon given its availability in the EU already... any specifics on dates? Clarification on the refresh rate would also be nice, but I'm guessing it's 120Hz out the box if that UW5 panel is being used? This overclock business is confusing a lot of people. The UW5 panel is 144Hz native, but the 1.2 G-Sync module will understandably not allow it to hit that.

Edit: Apologies for the silly meme.
I've been just following this thread for quite some time, building a proper pc this year and I've set my eyes on this monitor.

I'm just really looking forward to having a concrete knowledge, whether the display can do 120hz out of the box, with no overclock- that would be pretty much a sweet spot. Along with other characteristics, this display looks quite promising.

Release date and price are of course, interesting things to hear.
