LG 38GN950-B

Canceled as well. I like the customer service but after finally getting my 3080 not going to want any longer than I need to, to upgrade from a 60hz monitor.

I pre-ordered this monitor on the 15th of September and its sort of disappointing that I haven't received it yet. I might have to cancel mine too and look for another supplier. Ashame my first OC purchase hasn't gone well.

So far so good yeah. I've not got my PC finished yet (still waiting on my 3080 and the Ryzen 5000), but I've got it temporarily hooked up to the work macbook pro. Gaming will have to wait till the PC if finished unfortunately. The supplied cables are annoying though. They are a totally inadequate length for any reasonable setup (about 1 metre for each of the DP/HDMI and USB cables). With any decent cable management they must expect you to have your machine mere millimetres from it. Had to order some new cables.

How are you finding yours?

I decided to cancel after a call to my local Currys and they said they have them in stock and I can go pick up today or tomorrow if I want. I wanted to stay with OC but waiting over a month isn't really good enough for me. Probably not their fault at all but still. I want my monitor sooner.

I got one today, delivered from Currys too (sorry OC but I had a load of gift vouchers to use up). Very happy with it but I agree about the ridiculously short cables it comes with. I got a warning about making sure I used the supplied cable when I first powered it up but haven't noticed any issues with using my old slightly longer one. Everything still set on default, haven't had a proper play yet but so far so good. Didn't even unpack the stand as I've bunged it straight on my Ergotron LX wall mount arm. It feels good to be back in Ultrawide land after I stupidly decided to go back to 16:9. Never again.

Just finished setting it up and it looks good so far

- no noise
- colour profile was fairly accurate, the before after for calibration was pretty close
- can go very bright, had to turn it down to 31 brightness for it to be 200 cd/m2 for this room
- nice to be back to an ips screen after the last monitors tn panel

To whoever has this monitor, how is the ips glow for you?

I just recieved this monitor and im noticing glowing in both bottom left and right hand side corners. its not massively distracting if its not a dark game but soon as i play a game like Baldur's Gate 3 the bottom right corner becomes bleached out.
Had to switch up from a 38gl950 and im also noticing a less smooth gaming performance on the same hardware. I have g-gync enabled and vsync in the nvidia control panel.

This is with a 2080 ti.

Any thoughts? Or any suggestions on how to improve the corner ips glow. Really kicking myself as the 38gl950 had to be swapped due to a single green line down the right hand side of the panel, but it literally had zero ips glow. Argh

pretty minor in bottom corners. Something I've noticed is there's a kinda jump change between 39 & 40 brightness, have less glow at 40 than 39.

have to say this is one of the biggest and best upgrades for gaming and productivity I've made. The amount of screen space with a spare 27" in portrait mode at the end as well is pretty crazy. Colours and contrast are just so much better than the Dell S2716DG

I seriously need to have a word with the DPD delivery people around here... first I ordered a LG 38WN95C from OC and was lucky to get one in a very early batch which arrived with a smashed screen, then the 38GN950 ordered from elsewhere (after cancelling OC pre-order) also arrived with a smashed screen. Are these things really that fragile?
