LG OLED 2024 thread - A4, B4, C4, G4

So I was having a day at work when I needed a lot of screen space, and plugged into my 48 inch C2. It looks stunning as a monitor, and now I want an OLED for my desk.

Anyone aware of decent deals on the 42 C4?

It seems the 42 rarely comes on offer. Have you considered something smaller? Someone has a AW3423DWF up for sale in the MM

It's in!

So bright, burns the eyes :)

Is there a go to settings guide? I see Rtings have a page for it

Yeah, I saw that - keen for something which is 16:9. If I do buy one, the PS5 is getting moved into the study to turn the living room into a bit more of a low tech space. Thanks though!

Yeah it's a bit misleading.

Since posting the above, I have received another email saying the order is now being picked so bit of a strange one to send out between the two

Fingers crossed for your delivery

Bought mine yesterday about 24 hours ago. I pretty quickly got a second "on hold" email after my original order confirmation email and nothing since. Hopefully that means my order won't be cancelled! Anyone else have any experience of similar?

Hey yeah so I contacted them and they said it essentially means they are just waiting for confirmation of collection from the courier.

So I had that email, then later on I got an email saying the items were now being picked.

Then all was good and it came Friday as planned. Except 3-4 hours later than they said but not a big deal, was starting to worry though

Excellent, thanks for confirming. I live in the Highlands of Scotland so I assume it's a longer wait for pickup from courier hence no quick follow up email. :D

I use this… I didn’t bother going with professional calibration this time. The settings here work for me :) (G4)

I used this, however Cinema in HDR (game optimiser on) seems to be rather washed out, for example, the folder icons in windows are a yellowish that fade darker at the top, you can't really notice the gradient. It is eye burning though and that's with a C4.

If you want to rid your C4 screen (assume it works on the G4 and others too) of most of the clutter and useless IPTV apps, go to settings and change your region to "Other".

The home screen is still a massive waste of space but at least there are no adverts or obnoxious unused apps (although some still can't be removed :()

Anyone made a choice between 65C4 vs 77B4? If yes, what did you pick and what viewing distance?

Im looking to upgrade from a 55in led tv and about 2.9m distance between tv and sofa but struggling to decide.

Main usage is playstation and TV streaming with apple TV. I also have a ysp2700 soundbar that I plan to reuse. Soundbar is old but does the job for me. Can also replace it with whatever free bundled soundbar if it's an upgrade.

Any PS5 user's here?

I can't seem to find a clear "best settings" regarding Non HDR games.

So I'm playing Space Marine 2 on ps5. And it doesn't have HDR support (in this day and age, seemed odd to me)

So I'm finding in SDR it's not very bright, almost dull? So I'm wondering if I'm missing something regarding settings.

I know the ps5 can "force" HDR (Always On) which does make it much brighter but as it's not a game with native HDR support, I'm sure it's best not to force it on?

Any tips? A load of the guides online barely mention SDR content in regard to games

Ah, I never use bright room settings, only dark, so it’s recommended Filmmaker mode for me and works a charm!
