LG OLED 2024 thread - A4, B4, C4, G4

Thanks. I got a new code and used an incognito browser, and it worked on the G4, including the Member discount.

I'm still sat here, not sure whether to press buy, though… :D

Did they actually want to see proof you can get the code working? I sent them the screenshot from the deal site and explained to them what the code sources are but now they actually want to see a code working with todays date for some reason.
 
My delivery got changed from tuesday to wednesday, had a missed call but it was reported as spam, they advised on the website they will call the night before to arrange delivery, I hope this spam number wasn't the delivery and then as they couldn't get to speak to me just moved it back a day.

I tried with richer sounds and they said they won't match it as richer sounds are offering a free sound bar. If the deal was the same they would match.

He offered to do like £1350 which I assume includes their "free" soundbar. Could then flog that I guess but I imagine it's a basic model

I managed to get them to match it eventually via e-mail after a bit of back and forth. They contacted me via e-mail (I selected that over phone) after I filled in the form and finally offered £1332.78 with the "better" USC9S soundbar that was shown in the first LG cart screenshot I used from the deal thread here: https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/lg...mount-free-g1-soundbar-lg-sign-up-blc-4533000.

I actually never asked for this soundbar as I assumed they would just be giving you the one on the Richer Sounds store page for the 55G46LS, which is the slightly inferior US70TR. They both go for similar money (£350-ish sometimes more, sometimes less) with the USC9S being slightly more desirable and getting a tad bit extra on ebay likely due to the higher MSRP. You don't really want the G1 soundbar as its not great sound wise due to the size and doesn't sell for as much.

They wanted a time stamped image so I just put the screenshot next to the computer clock and took another cropped screenshot. I haven't actually pulled the trigger but I suppose if its still live tomorrow I might. Still in two minds about it so will sleep on it.

Wonder how much the resale value is dented from using the USC9S? I may sell it if it's a massive downgrade from my avr, monolith + and wharfedales, but I'm hoping it may be a nice middle ground between performance and clutter free.

I think you should still get £300 + Post for it judging from the used recent sales.

I've had no issues but I do understand. There are no sellers fees anymore so you could just set it for collection only and see what happens. Considering the USC9S has a listed MSRP of £999.98 I don't think you'd struggle to get £300 used however you decide to sell it.

might give it a go, last time I sold something on there a scammer bought it and wasted my listing.

might keep it thought, it does seem insane they're giving away a £999 soundbar.

They do it all the time. My guess is it costs them very little to make vs the actual likely inflated MSRP and it helps get rid of old stock before the new revamped ones come in with the 2025 range of Tvs.

Let us know how you find the soundbar if you do go ahead.
 
Will do, hoping it will be delivered tomorrow, they've reschedules the delivery from today, hope this isn't going to keep happening :(

Sorry dude, didnt notice the notification until now!

Looks like you got it sorted, but I sent a screenshot of the items in cart once discount applied and a copy of my blc.

I actually wanted the soundbar that richar sounds was supplying, the us70tr since its got physical rear speakers and apparently the G1 one is a bit older.

As you mentioned they both seem to sit at a very similar price, £350-400.

No worries. The USC9S seems the best of the bunch from a resale point of view but like you say the US70TR might be better for use due to the extra speakers.

I don't suppose anyone has a spare 20% code? Richer Sounds changed their tune and now want to see the full browser window. Code won't be used for a purchase just added to the cart if that makes any difference.
 
Anyone actually played with the USC9S? What's the sub like? Is it quite powerful or sounds like a fart box?

Just kinda hoping for maybe middle ground, where it's obviously not as powerful, but still has some grunt, whilst at the same time providing some feng shui due to lack of cables and clutter.
