Lian Li V1000+ & Tagan Easycon PSU

Only seen one, same as the +I but instead of a blower fan has the side mounted blowhole over the graphics.

Works a little better than the blower, does not really matter which you get. :)

So would a blower fan be just a fan mounted inside the case, and a blowhole, the same thing mounted on a hole in the side? Their pictures aren't that detailed.

Are they 120mm blowers? Same as the inlet and exhaust fans?

Yeh they are on the +II.

On the +I its a blower fan, that exhausts out the back of the case, as it does not have the hole on the side.

Quite hard to grasp if you had no idea what one was!

That fan is what comes with the +I, the +II has the mounting bracket for a normal fan, and the holes in the side to let the air out. :)

Ok. I think I've got it!

So the 1000+ has 2 case fans (front/back) and a blower fan (inside)
The V1000+2 just has 2 case fans (front/side-hole)

Is that right? lol

Is that right? Now it is. ;)

Lol, that's the one I meant with 'side-hole'. So the +2 has 3 fans: front/side-hole/rear?

Someone's going to read this thread in a minute and think there's something wrong with me :p

My fault for not being clear in the first place so don't worry about it, my end thats the awkward one.

And yup, thats it. :p We got there in the end! :D

Hi Yewen, me again!

I have my V1000+2 now and I will be beginning my build on Tuesday. However, I've noticed that the fan at the rear of the case sucks air inside, and the CPU cooler I've bought (Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7) is a tower with a side mounted fan that will blow in the opposite direction.

It seems to me that the rear fan will interfere with the air flow of the CPU cooler. Do you think this will be a problem?

I highly doubt it will, the larger V series of cases are very componant dependant on what cooling and fan orientation are the best.

I would recommend leaving the rear as an intake, trying the temperatures for a day to see if you are happy with them, if you think they are a bit off then swap the fan around and try it then.

Experimenting with the rear fan is the only way to find out, every system is different really with regards to optimal orientation.

I had my one for my x2 as a intake, yet my 2400xp likes it being an exhaust.

Trial and Error for the frist couple of days, remember a hot day and cold day are not comparable; after this you should be able to answer your own question, if they both are the same then have the fan as a exhaust to cut down on dust. :p

Hope that helps in some way, sorry I could not give you a straight answer on this one.

No that's fine! Thanks for your help. It makes a lot of sense I suppose. I just hope that fan is easy to get to once everything is inside and connected up! :p

Very easy to get to once its all connected up, not awkward at all, neither is the front but I can tell you that is a intake right now. :p
