This looks amazing but I will not get my hopes of this releasing like this quality until it's released.

watch

whats good about it?

no idea who created this, but guess its "from software" or who ever made dark souls/bloodborne
animations are terrible (missing half of its frames)
Graphics look meh,
gameplay look janky (same as all dark souls games)

these games feels like Bethesda games no polish

I guess you dont like FromSoftware :D Its not from them btw

The gameplay is labeled alpha and I think it looks great.

indeed, 100% agree I did order BF 2042 but we also know that even though its going buggy as hell & janky its not the game that matters their its your squad.

however this is EA last chance for me then after no purchase ever again
Bethesda is already on my never buy again list
Ubisoft has 1 more chance now ex creative director is gone

Here its single player, janky Animations & gameplay need to be spot on.

its not that i dis-like from software games but they always have
* animation that miss frames so look like adobe flash
* Graphics are always Grey+Grey+Grey+Grey + Black yet 0 atmosphere
* gameplay combat is very instant. due to bad animations you go from 100% to 0% get hit twice but health bar is to slow to react to first hit so you get 1 shot

like you compare Dark souls vs Kingdom come.
both slow combat styles

Yet kingdom come is B class developer & does better job vs dark souls a triple A that really deserves to B tier (that's from someone who didn't like kingdom come)

It's OK mate just teasing you a bit I will most likely buy battlefield 2042 eventually.

Clearly this game is not for you as from soft games have received huge critical acclaim for their gameplay by both players and reviewers and they can't all be wrong while you're right. They are just not your cup of tea I guess which is perfectly fine.

I just thought it was a bit unfair to crap on this game which looks very cool with an interesting world to me while preordering the latest soulless and bland (based on my impressions of the open beta) FPS rehash.

sure i get that,

may have been a bit harsh, hope anyone that plays this game enjoy it but

I just want more from developers now days specially if its a triple A developer.

we pay £50-70 for games new now they ALL should be top quality or reduce their price to indie levels just sample pretty polished games (red dead redemption/witcher3/GTA V) not the shambles that is Fallout 76

Right, I say this as someone who literally doesn't care about FromSoftware or any of the Dark Souls games. I've played about 13 hours of Dark Souls 1, but could never fully get into it, and have never played any of their other games. I don't really get your criticisms though. Or rather, they read like someone who just finds those games difficult.

What does "animation that miss frames" mean? Only thing I can think of is where an enemy moves very quickly and you can be attacked with relatively little motion from the enemy, but...that's a literal design of the enemies. They don't just move fast for jank's sake. Pretty much the entire gameplay premise is you explore, find new enemies, die to said enemies, go back and observe them, then triumph over them. Key part being observe then triumph. If there is a fast enemy killing you all the time, you need to work on your timing to not get hit.

0 atmosphere...they're usually set in very gothic and medieval, somewhat fantastical worlds, with lots of mythical creatures like dragons, grotesque corpses and all the rest of it, which I would argue is a bit more atmospheric than grunts in a jungle/desert/urban city/space station/etc that most FPS games have (as an example).

The gameplay combat being too instant, this just literally sounds like complaining about getting hit. As they say, "git gud", and as I said, observe - basically avoid getting hit in the first place - then triumph. And the health bar isn't really slow to react - your literal health is a green bar. Damage dealt to you does become yellow and "slowly" go down, but you just need to ignore that and pay attention to the green portion. The only reason it slowly goes down is because you can heal at any time, and that healing can also be interrupted so you don't get the full benefit instantly.

A lot of these criticisms are kind of similar to those who criticise Monster Hunter, which I've played a lot of in the past, so they kind of irk me because they read as someone simply not having the patience to understand the gameplay/game mechanics properly, but instead just expecting to run in and button mash and expect everything to fall over.

if you watch the trailer the guy in the background that cut somone with what looks like an axe, he holds in up & then instantly hit the body but their was no smooth motion of it going from 90 degrees 80 degrees 45% and so on

it goes from 90% to 0%
https://youtu.be/q-8ix2pSHrw?t=36

tyhis happens in bunch of animations but its alpha so hopefully they will fix it

Visually it just looks ok to me, looks like a later ps4 game, this type of game is not for me though so i will not be buying it, didnt like souls games etc

That's got nothing to do with "missed frames". It's a stylistic choice to convey the speed at which the thing is hitting the other thing on the ground. Watch it at 0.25 speed, and you can more of less see the full swing of the arm, it just happens so quickly when played at real time. These things are also clearly supposed to be some kind of eerie puppet/robot things, so it also ties in with the erratic movement like a malfunctioning bit of machinery.
