Lightroom and Photoshop subscription now available to all

I just get this when it checks if I am eligible.

We don't have any registered products associated with this Adobe ID
If you have a product that hasn't been registered yet, just enter the serial number below, and we'll check to see if it's eligible.

I just followed the sign up link, logged in, payed for it and it was added to my account. You only get the registered product once you download and log into the creative cloud client and then install and launch each program.

Is what I get. I assume the deal is not on anymore then? (for those without software already).

Looks like you might be out of luck :( You could try adding a couple of trials and see if you can trick it.

I think that was because it was on offer before and you didn't need to have owned a creative suite in order to qualify to buy it.

The requirement is absurd in my opinion.

I signed up for this earlier today and am having nothing but grief, hopefully someone might be able to point me in the right direction. I log into Adobe and go to download either Lightroom or PS and all i get from the Download dropbox is the following :

"You are running an operating system that Photoshop no longer supports. Refer to the system requirements below for a full list of supported platforms."

I am of course running Win7, along with 4 times as much ram as system requirements state. This is driving me mad now..............................................can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong ?

And for reasons like this I will never ever go cloud with paid for services.

what web browser are you using - might be something the browser is reporting incorrectly?

Thanks a lot Zooger. Used IE and everything has gone fine.
Obviously Adobe don't like a browser locked down as much as i have Waterfox lol.

For a while i thought the same. At the end of the day, it's the way things are going to go. So you you either go with it, or stand still. At 56 years old, i've got no intention of standing still (make too much of an easy target lol).

That is the way it will go if people give in.

Personally, if LR moves to cloud only I will just stop using it and support one of the free projects.

It's not a case of giving in, it's called progress.

PS isn't currently cloud hosted, you still have to install it locally on the device. The only cloud element is the original install set and the periodic sync to ensure the apps are licensed. Think of it like Steam.
