Lightroom CC releasing tomorrow?

I certainly hope so, I've got a load of photo's to edit so this would be perfect timing :)

KelbyOne and various others are planning some streams for the 'Big Thing' today so it certainly sounds like it will be revealed or released today.

So is a physical copy coming? Seems lot's of people on the net are saying they don't want a subscription version. I don't either, buying is cheaper for me each edition and if you are not bothered about the new features you can easily skip a version.

There was leaked prices for a standalone version a while ago of 130 euro so I guess there will be a boxed version.

I pay the CC subscription as it's better for me with photoshop etc. Maybe Adobe will release the CC version early and the retail version a month later or something as it may get people to subscribe.

Nevermind, found it. Enabled by default which is nice!

I'm downloading Lightroom 6 (perpetual) as I type. Don't like CC, and it will work out cheaper if adobe take another 2 years to update it.
Curious to see how it runs on a 5k screen.

I just can't find a way to download it at all.. it's not in the CC app and when I click on download from their webpage it just downloads the CC app :( probably me being stupid!

And I'm also curious how it runs for you as I'm still waiting for my iMac 5K to arrive.. I hope it runs well otherwise I'm going to cry.

I have the photographers sub. It's appeared for me in Adobe CC app, downloading now. It had to update it first. Might be worth unistalling the CC app then reinstalling?

OK sorted it.

To get it to update you'll need to "Sign Out" of the CC app (from the cog in the top right).

When you sign back in it should update the apps and LR CC will be there.

It runs faster. It's probably the same as running in low res mode or a normal 27" imac.
Sliders update fast and it seems as does the crop tool etc.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to use the GPU (OpenCL) to actually do the 1:1 renders, so it's still worthwhile to pre-render. Capture One is much better in this regard from my limited testing. CPU temps are higher, so it's clearly making better use of them.

Aside from that, it doesn't seem like much has changed tbh.
