Lila Connect - VX Fibre 1gig - Stoke on Trent

Just thought I’d post my experience of having Lila installed today. I chose the gaming package @ £40/month which has a fixed ip, avoiding CG NAT. Can’t be having issue finding call of duty matches, we shall see

The installation lads were top notch, really attentive and understanding, polite too. I had the SDD installed round the side of my garage as I want to hook up a UPS etc all away from the inside of the house. Got a shiny new Ubiquiti router set up to make the most of it and am currently seeing 933 down and 934 up.

Hello

A quick question please. I am with Lilaconnect and loking to port our landline over to a voip. I have talked with lila connect and have been advised that some Voip providers will not work with there service because of there CGNAT. They have advicsed using there "Affiliate" called KIT or keep-in-touch voip service but after reading the reviews for them I seriosly do not want to use there service so I am stuck. My elderly parents are now paying for 2 services with the knowledge that they could move over to a voip service but lila are obly supporting there "affiliate keep-in-touch" voip service. They do not have smartphones and rely on there home landline that they have used for over 40 years.

I have the equipment for voip as in a Grandstream ht801 ata and I will be using a Asus RT-ax82u router (not the lila zyxel) and I was going to use A&A voip for just incoming calls then have 2 unlimited call and text sims for both upstairs and downstairs for my parents to use for outgoing calls inside the home. I was adviced by A&A that Lilaconnect would not work with there service because of CGNAT and lilaconnect only advice to resolve the Voip problem was to use there affiliate Voip provider (KIT or Keep in-touch) or pay for a Public IPv4 for £6 per month which would kill our discount we signed up under so instead of paying £30 per month that we are now it will jump to £41 with there ipv6 public IP address.

Another reason why I do not want to port the landline over to KIT or keep-in-touch voip provider is because of the poor reviews including upfrnt charges of £50 and the inability to port your number out from there service. (According to the reviews not first hand experience)

So my question is does anyone on the lilaconnect with CGNAT use a voip service without any problems and if you do who do you use please because whatever I do at the moment I am hitting a dead end with regards to keeping the landline. My only other option it to cancel with lila and pay the termination fee and cut my losses and move to a voip compatible isp to keep the landline. Personally I do not want to move my parents from lila but they are paying for 2 broadband services one they are not using because of the tied landline so any help and advice would be very much welcomed.

Thank you in advance

I would like to update my post following my contact with Lilaconnect today.

I made this statement:-
or pay for a Public IPv4 for £6 per month which would kill our discount we signed up under so instead of paying £30 per month that we are now it will jump to £41 with there ipv6 public IP address.

The above statement I made is not correct. I got the impression that Lilaconnect if requested to have a Public IP added to the customers account would affect the promotion that the customer signed up under. I got this impression from a reply they made to a review on trust pilot where the customer changed there package from the origional package they signed up for so invalidating there promotion offer. I would like to add that after contacting Lilaconnect today that if a customer wants to have a Public IP added to there account they can do so and it will NOT affect any promotional offer they signed up for it will just be an extra £6 a month on there current billing. Also if the Public IP is not required it can be removed from the customers account.

Just thought I would post that so not to give false information and to correct my misunderstanding. If I am still having problems with voip then the extra £6 a month maybe worth the investment. I would like to give credit to Lilaconnect for the prompt support and clear advice and information.
