Liquid Art: From Mini P180 to infinity...

Jay how was them enermax cluster fans with pushing air into the case without the rads m8?
They weren't bad mate, though tbh I like them more for their looks than performance. Im swapping them out though for some corsair SP120's since putting in high FPI 240 rad at the front as well now.
So we did not figure out a glass mod we liked and ended up having a super busy week. However you do have something from us arriving at your door.... I guess Monday now. Surprises.....!
No problem guys, I am seriously looking forward to the surprise! Excitement! Serious thanks to you guys have for making the time and effort to do this for me!

Ordered the following this week:

1x Bitspower Adapter 90 degree 2x G1 / 4 inches - Matte Black
1x G1/4" Male to Female Rotary Fitting (Black Chrome)
2x XSPC G1/4" to 3/8" ID, 5/8" OD Compression Fitting (Black Chrome)
1x Hardware Labs Black ICE Radiator GT Stealth 240
2 x Corsair SP120 High performance fans

After this im hoping I can source a waterblock for my second gpu to tie into the loop.

I am mate, im taking this route cos i'll be putting my secondary gtx 680 underwater soon so need the extra cooling capacity and airflow through the case.

I would add another radiator ontop of what i already have if i had the space for it lol.

Haha, seriously cant go wrong with a mini p180. Its a great case once you've stripped it out for watercooling. So much room and cooling potential.

I want performance and form though lol

Thinking of this controller Akasa 5.25" FC Six Channel Brushed Aluminium Fan Controller

All Akasa products are particularly good, especially their fans so I doubt their controllers will be bad. Have you seen any reviews on them yet?

I'm only running 2 SSD's in mine so could cut out bits to aid rad fitment and the likes, then stick both 270x's in it and put them on the same cooling circuit?

You can do that quite easily, the whole lot would fit in quite snuggly. Just make sure if you do choose to run dual cards, make sure your front fans are intakes and not exhaust as you want to be blowing cool air and over the cards. The case can easily fit 2 x 240 rads, 1 at the front and 1 at the top AND if you take care with measurements you could also fit a thin 120mm rad at the rear.

Thanks jim thats good to know

Jay you seen the new black ice rads the nemesis ones

Well decided to go for the following Jay:

Akasa Fan controller (as above)
Bitfenix 200mm Pro (in Black)
Corsair 120mm LED (red) AF fans x2
Akasa Led strips (red) x3 (x2 behind mobo and 1 under window)

I have matey, i was contemplating using them cos they use low RPM fans. Still thinking about it unless i can get my hands on another 240 same as the one i already have.

Thats a nice list mate, have you confimed your order yet? The akasa LED strips are really bright. If you dont like the super bright LEDs i would consider the Silverstone ones.

That's the one that I got and it looks gorgeous!

Oh the window mod not done yet? I thought you'd have it back by now! :O.

Got some good news today, Parvum Systems have sent me their updated S2.0 case. I only asked for a new side panel but they gave me a whole brand new case! Absolutely epic customer service, I could not ask for more! So damn happy! Will start upgrading and transferring my current system into the new case very soon.

If you struggle to find anyone to do the mod I could ask the guys I use over here to do it. You'll have to post it to me though unless you live in south Yorkshire lol.

LOL yes bud in sheffield small world hehe bit busy at moment will lwt you know bud thanks so much :)

Got it jim thanks but can get it new for only £4 more sorry bud.

Haha very small world indeed. Let me know anyway mate and i will meet you somewhere and take you over to the place where i got mine done. I'll bring my side panel as well for you to look at.

Yeah fronts are intake and rears are exhaust, alway done stuff like that for the last god knows how long...

Think I might strip my machine down this weekend, take out whatever bits arent needed and then work out costings for the dual GPU water setup..

Oh hang on...

Wonder if two of them would fit inside the Mini180 with bits removed.

Ideally I'd want to run both the GPU's off of a single loop with a decent enough size rad in the top where the big fan is and leave the rear for the CPU rad/fan as it is currently.
However those closed units as above are cheap as ****, as long as I could mount the rad/fan combo for those into the front of the case that could be a winner, or possibly run them up to the top of the case and use the existing large fan in the top, would mean no fans in the front so less noise as I wouldnt be adding more fans..

2 of those hybrid coolers will easily fit, even if you decide to mount them at the front. You can mount them side ways and both will fit no problem. I use to have a old corsair H70 which fitted in the same way at the front of the case. I have another thread somewhere with the H70 fitted to the front of the case and it's a thicker rad too so your thinner Arctic Accelero Hybrid II will fit no problem.

If I can dig the pictures out to show you what I mean I will.

Hmmm not sure then, will need to see him fit on yo determine it.

All my stuff has arrived now, will start a new thread for the new build as im gonna re-route everything.

I can get both of the 270x's in my case no problem but the gap between them is only about 5mm and the gap between the bottom one and the top of the PSU area isnt much more, I could run them as is and it get hot an loud, or a pair of those Accelero's with the rad/fan on the front means I dont have to worrk about the gap between the two so much, yes there will be a bit of heatsoak but not as much as having that gap trying to get air into the cards..

If you fit the hybrid coolers on both cards you wont need to worry about heat soak at all. My watercooled 680 tops out at 42c running full pelt so i suspect your hybrid cooler will cool in the same manner.. Give or take a few celcius. You defo wont need to worry about the gap inbetween the cards at all.
