lite beers... why don't we have them in our pubs?

really into cools lite at the min, and enjoyed it a fair bit in my time over in America, really shocks me how few pubs stock lite beers, with half the amount of calories and little taste difference imo, I reckon it's about time we stocked up over here and gave the punters the choice, can't think of any of my locals that stock lite beers, I tried asda and tesco in Southampton and only found high priced 4 packs, was only Salisburys that had a create :(

from my time in America most bars had lite alternatives to all the big beers which is quite ironic for America of all places.

anyone know any big chains that sell cools or bud lite?

Gay.

Iam not sure why people are calling the Op 'gay' who cares if he drinks what he drinks. whats that got to do with his sex tastes?

Gay.

no Weatherspoons is horrible

Where else do you expect to find horrible beer. :p

I think the american brewers have tried to market their lite beers in the UK before, and they went down like a lead balloon.

Try Guiness, it's actualy relativly low in calories, and you'll probably drink less of it because it's quite filling. Try making a efford to drink slower and you might find your tastes change.

Or give wine a go?

Or only buy halfs.

coors lite tastes great, excellant beer lovely and refreshing lager and I wish more pubs stocked it, the fact that it is low calorie is for me simply a bonus.

Note it is the 3rd best selling beer in America and while that may not count for very much it does show that an awful lot of people disagree with the majority of respondants to this thread.

totally agree, really got hooked on it over there, and half the amount of calories mean twice as much beer in my crazy head :)
