lite beers... why don't we have them in our pubs?

Where else do you expect to find horrible beer. :p

Wetherspoons isn't actually all that bad for beers, they've usually got a fair selection and because they go through so many they don't have the time to sit in the kegs or pipes for long so they taste fairly decent. I don't go into my local Wetherspoons often but when I do go into one I've never found the pint to be less than acceptable.

Note it is the 3rd best selling beer in America and while that may not count for very much it does show that an awful lot of people disagree with the majority of respondants to this thread.

Budweiser and Bud Light are #1 and #2 are they not? As far as setting a good example of taste goes that is right up there with wearing a day-glo lycra jumpsuit to the funeral of an elderly relative then doing jumping jacks on the coffin - some people might like it, that doesn't make it right.

I've always found Coors Lite to taste pretty rubbish but Wetherspoons is probably your best bet as they try to cater for as wide a market as possible, maybe Scream pubs or Lloyds/Yates might also do it.

let me just point out the same company make the UKs no 1 selling beer , oh and coors light is stronger than that.

Try Guiness, it's actualy relativly low in calories, and you'll probably drink less of it because it's quite filling. Try making a efford to drink slower and you might find your tastes change.

Now... I know a lot of people who switched from lager to guinness for that reason, they ended up drinking it quicker than we would pints of lager and all have impressively huge barrel shaped stomachs, like they are 8 months pregnant.

While I agree it is lower calories etc I'm sure there is something about it that makes you fat...it also makes you turd black bricks of death

see i disagree i think gayers drive cars like in your sig (and rude boys who drink special brew)

:D

touché :D

FWIW being a married 33-year-old father of four I am neither a gayer, nor a Special Brew drinking 'rude boy'.

i quite like Guinness, but thought it was pretty much the same calories as a larger ?

a bud lite or coors lite is half the amount i think, which makes a big difference,

clearly this is my objective, enjoying a beer but without the barrel shaped stomach

Out of a vague interest, does anyone happen to have like a list of the calories in assorted alcoholic beverages?

Mildly curious as to how many you take in out on the lash.

what about a few bottles of wine?

Holy ****! Is that real? how long did that take? Nice going!

god knows on the wine, i'm sure i read it something like a 1000cal a bottle, but might need to check,

took me a few years to go from 23 stones to 15.7 stone. which is my target weight. i float around 15.7 to 16 - hence the thread for lite beers

Well done on the weight loss Jimlad, that's an incredible difference

Out of interest were you left with much excess skin? I'm 5' 11" and ~17.5st, so could do with losing a few stone myself. Being left with excess skin worries me though :(

The only place i've noticed Coors out and about in town is the Giddy Bridge. Though i've never been in the Yates nearby so they may have it, or similar.
