Amazing!

People need to stop being negative about the room, for a living room I think this is a stunning compromise!

A couple of rugs will be great, also don’t know if you’ve considered but you can get canvas prints that are effectively stuffed with acoustic material that look like normal lounge decoration.

Even your sofa and other soft furnishings will help :)

Yes looked into companies who will print your photos onto acoustic panels. I'm heavily into photography so I've got my own stuff that could go on the walls.

Got some prices but open to suggestions as it's hard to find companies who do this.

Any choices have to be aesthetically pleasing though............

The electrician was meant to be in last Friday, waiting means we cannot finish painting the room, including major ceiling touch ups. However we do have furniture arriving as we’ve had stuff on order a while and we need it in time for the party next weekend.

So when the electrician finally does arrive, hopefully Wednesday (but I will not hold my breath), and when we do have to do the final touch ups – it will be in a room with furniture – which isn’t ideal. Nevermind.

Anyway.. the lamp, it’s got tripod legs. I like it very much.

You should have said earlier, three people have died already.

today's update

So the sofa arrived today, had a little issue with getting it past the scaffolding due to health and safety but we got there in the end.

At the weekend I mentioned the projector screen was installed, you can see it in the photos below, just needs to be wired up before we can use it – tomorrow!

We had a new rug, got a sideboard coming tomorrow and my new desk and AV shelving unit later in the week, perhaps early next. There’ll be art to go up on the walls too.

Hit a problem...

in-wall HDMI = 20 foot HDMI Cable, BJC Series-1 23 1/2 AWG Belden Bonded-Pair

HDMI -> Wall Plate -> In Wall HDMI -> Projector = no 4k (lower res like 578p? worked)
HDMI -> Wall Plate -> HDMI -> Projector = 4k

So i think the wall plate is actually ok, it's just the HDMI length + the in-wall HDMI length that's a problem..

I wonder if i had a short HDMI it would be ok? or else I need to see if there's enough length to feed back down the socket and use a brush socket, or maybe there's alternative solutions?
