The wall in the last one fell the other way - barely missing cars parked both inside the wall (mine included), and those parked half on the kerb.

Cool,

My friend used to live about 2 seconds away from the train station in Buckhurst hill, a fair few of the people in the company live there as well.

Work have been trying to get everyone to work tonight as they have 75,000 customers off supply. Think I’ll just stop here in my nice warm bedroom though :D :D

I'm very, very pleased with the weather! Today was my first day back to work after injury, sent to operate a tower crane so close to the river I could have moved a load into it.

I went up early on to have a look around, while it was still dark. Had to grip the ladder near the top to avoid being ripped off it. Sat down for a few minutes without turning it on, and the tower began swaying like a bamboo stick (which it is designed to do in high winds when not being used). Decided to come back down in case it got worse, which it soon did. Left before lunchtime.

Result: 5 hours on site doing nothing but reading and talking, except for & including 20 minutes of climbing/being on the crane. 10 hours pay! Almost home in time for Neighbours. :D

yeah it's not nice whether to ride a motorbike in I can tell you. Cross wind nearly blew me into a bus on the way to uni.

Just gone out the back garden to check on things and find 5 ridge tiles have come off the garage roof, smashing two roof tiles on their way down! Also, fence down between our's and next door's garden has blown over partially and the roof aerial on next house but one has got a huge bag type thing wrapped round it which has bent it right over!

Well my aerial is coming off !

It is to the wall via two brackets and a 10' pole. The raw plugs on the top have pulled out of the wall leaving only the bottom bracket secured properly.

And I have a three storey house and two storey ladders. I have just been hanging out of the window strapping the pole to some wrought iron work that is attached to the house in a mad attempted to stop it pivoting on the remaining bracket.

My wife works next to Focus DIY so she is now under instruction to fetch home big kahuna bungie cords until I can get some chap with big ladders to come!

Guess what all the chaps that fix aerials are busy!

All the windows have been blown out of our summer house / cabin thingy. Tree's have been down in my village, some of the village is without power. It's pretty crazy.

In a strange way I find it quite exciting listening to it blowing through the house . However, I can hear it rattling my house at uni and it sounds like it's pushing the windows in everytime it picks up a bit.

wats the thing that appears attached to the aerial?
I'm not altogether sure but from the ground it just looks like a green plastic tarpaulin thing, has a bit of a bag/windsock shape to it though.
