Only you can decide if you can actually afford the wheel, and it's your own fault if you go into more debt for it. I wouldn't buy this wheel if I've never played driving games properly.Deks said:Hopefully someone will be kind enough to comment on my questions
I have never really got into driving games altho the ones I did quickly try proves how bad I was. Anyhow I'm a compulsive purchaser and am constantly in debt due to wanting to put things on the old credit card and have decided I must buy the Logitech G25 wheel and a game (maybe gtr2). Am I mad? Am I wasting my money? I'm hoping a total noob like me might totally enjoy the experience as ive never got into this type of game/ Or do you need to be a type of pro to enjoy these? )as I hate games that are painful to get good at to enjoy I just want a thrill) BTW I havn't a clue about gear shifting and toe to heel etc! altho I have been driving cars for 22 years in real life! including writing off 2 mini's , a talbot Horizon, a Citroen AX GT and a vauxhall Astra! In real life i've bought a Yammy FZR600R race bike but am starting to thing i'll be safer sticking to computer games""
Any comments would be appreciated

As per my debt its not too bad its currently at £20,000 but has already been amalgamated and at a rate of 6.49% which I think is very good. I would like a new PC but I'm holding back as long as I can until at least March and then that will be another £3000 on the loan. (altho will definatley be selling the bike to offset against this)

ps have told the girlfriend not to look forward too much to get a big present at Christmas. Unless she wants the new Dyson DC15 Animal (£360) that I bought as a fad last week!
Bean0 said:For a tad over £40 you can get a new Driving Force Pro. I would also check out the usual places for 2nd hand wheels, with the G25 being in the wild now, there will be a few Momos and DFPs for sale I would think.
I would recommend getting the Live For Speed demo. You get 3 of the cars, one track with 3 (I think) different configs, and it is playable online.
You don't need a wheel, I used to use an analogue pad and had quite a bit of success. Using a wheel and pedals definitely helps though.
