Logitech K750 Solar Powered KB

I've had all the MX mice. Currently use the PMX at work and the G700 at home. The PMX is great but you really do realise it's not as responsive as the G700 even though the PMX is more responsive than the MX Revolution although not as responsive as the MX1000.

Given I won't be gaming which would you recommend, pmx or g700?

Though that will change when heart of the swarm is released, and I could always go back to my G500 that I intend to keep.

Yup, have had mine for about 4-5 years now (well the MX revolution anyway, very similar) - very comfortable, tracks well, battery life lasts for ages between charging. Only downside is that the middle wheel doesn't function well as a middle mouse button (at least on mine anyway). I think the minor update to the MX since mine has improved this aspect though.

+1

My MX revolution went faulty and they replaced it with a performance mouse, the middle button issue has been completely fixed, you can choose whether to scroll or hyper scroll using the middle button.

It's a great mouse, well worth the entire price tag!

The G700 needs to charge daily as the charge holds for 8 hours usage since it's a performance mouse.

The PMX lasts several days on one charge. If you don't do gaming then PMX yeah.

Great cheers mate. Ordered the pmx. Hopefully I can flog the dirt showdown code and save myself a few extra bucks. Though I suspect a load of the codes will be hitting the MM soon lol

Edit: quite excited now sadly lol this will be my first wireless mouse and keyboard. Good discounts on them too. I suspect as mentioned above maybe new models inbound?

The K750 sounds clicky?

What's the ear expert version of Vision Express? :p

The K750 sounds similar to Apple's keyboard and pretty much most other high end chiclet keyboards found on laptops and things. There's a metal skeleton underneath so it should sound satisfying and feel it too.

yeah tried the demo unit from work.... well not clicky more clunky, it was odd considering the cheaper logitech 30 quid one was silent and better quality when pressed down.

perhaps it was a bad demo unit that was abused a lot in the past ;)

That's a setting you can change in the software. On my MX Revolution I have a normal middle-click. :)

What the deuce.

Right at this precise moment, my k750 seems to be working as it should and is picking up 160 lux with the curtains closed!

I'll keep an eye on it, maybe its fine now.

Ah having opened the curtains though it is rather sunny today.

Sent a email to logitech and they've come back to me saying I just need to send it to them and they will send me a brand new replacement keyboard!

I'm not convinced theres anything wrong with it I mean atm I'm getting 24 lux with natural light coming in. I think its just because theres no direct sunlight to the keyboard.

I've asked the logitech person if the issue is the internal battery needs replacing.

Do you guys think this is the problem?

You can replace the battery easily. It's at the top, just poke the hole with a screwdriver to pop it out..
