HE folks,

Got a Z5500 system that has decided to give up on me as its still under warranty I contacted Logitech who suspected it could be a control pod fault so sent out a replacement.

Unfortunately it wasn't so it looks like the sub is up the duff, thing is they are asking for a photocopy/scan of a receipt which just doesnt exist, as the speakers were purchased from play who as most will know do not provide paper reciepts and Logitech wont accept a print screen of the order online.

Any help available as im pretty much stuck now.

The dont provide receipts you can just print off, they do include a dispatch note with deliveries, but damned if i can find a piece paper thats 2 years old having moved twice in the past year. Anyway i've emailed play to see if they can send out a receipt for me. I do know they dont provide VAT receipts though :)

I was joking of course R.E. the thread the other day about the guy scamming Logitec and selling warranty stuff via eBay ;)

On my last dealings with Logi CS they just told me to take a hammer or something to my mouse. Keep at them

They replaced a joystick last year I bought from here and accepted a screen print of the order. They should do for you if you explain the situation.

Maybe they are cracking down on it because of the person selling warranty replacements on ebay, that said however, i've just had a replacement MK710 keyboard and mouse sent out to me because the scroll wheel broke on my MX3200, gutted like because i prefer my MX3200 to the MK710 and it's discontinued now :(. I didn't have proof of purchase so they accepted the proof of purchase on my bank statement from last Feb (2010), along with photo of said product with a piece of paper with their choice of reference number hand written with it. I also got given a discount code for 35% off any product on their website as i was debating upgrading to the MX5500 set. I've not used it yet and it needs using within the next 3 weeks or so.

On a similar note, I've just tried logitech's cs to replace my x-240s that are dying, and contrary to what a lot of people have said, they need an extensive amount of information. If I can sort it out, though, they said they will replace with the z323, or whatever the new ones are :D

I got my Performance MX replaced a month or two ago and all they needed was the P/N, M/N and PID off the bottom of the old mouse, they then sent me out a new one, no invoice or proof of purchase needed.

Yeah, they've asked for these and proof of purchase. Anyone know where I could find the above things on a set of x-240s?
