QUOTE:

"Logitech's latest keyboard comes with RGB backlighting and mechanical switches.

Despite the fact that Logitech was one of the manufacturers that was a little late to the mechanical keyboard game, its G710+ still captured the hearts of many buyers. Now, Logitech has built a successor to the G710+ with the G910 Orion Spark. This keyboard is designed to complement the G402 Hyperion Fury and G502 Proteus Core gaming mice.

The Orion Spark sports Romer-G mechanical switches (which are not used on any other keyboard according to Logitech) instead of the more commonly-used Cherry MX switches. These switches have an actuation point that occurs 1.5 mm into the key press, while Cherry MX switches actuate at 2 mm. Logitech claims that this makes the keyboard register your key presses 25 percent faster. The keyboard also comes with nine programmable G-Keys that you can access through three different profiles, which gives you 27 macros to play with.

The keyboard comes with RGB LED backlighting, and each key has an LED underneath it that can individually light up in 16.8 million different colors. Through the Logitech software, you’ll be able to set a number of different profiles wherein the backlighting can adjust to your desktop or specific games that you’re playing.

Logitech has also equipped the keyboard with a disable-Windows key switch, as well as the usual media controls and an Arx Dock, which can hold your phone. Rather than integrating an LCD into the keyboard, Logitech built an app for Android and iOS smartphones that can be used to access in-game statistics.

Logitech has slapped an MSRP of $179.99 on the keyboard, and it should be available in the U.S. during the first weeks of November."

Way too much going on.
Give me a simple black keyboard with 1 USB port on the back, available in all key switches and full color back light in both a TKL and full variety.
Is it so hard?

I'm a sucker for Logitech gaming gear, and thinking of buying this as soon as I win the lottery.

That means the price is pretty high, but having a phone replace the LCD screen on previous keyboards is a good idea. I just hope it works for iOS 6 too, because I don't want to have my main phone on the keyboard all the time.

I might buy it once the price comes down a bit.

that looks just wrong, to much clutter - although the smart phone thing could be interesting, roccat are also plaining something like it. (nfi if mech or not tho.)

will get a Chroma tho myself, had a G19 - never really used the LCD after i got a 2nd monitor, and its kinda messed up after a little drink spill ;)

Good grief I wouldn't know where to look, what's with the extra G keys above the F1-4 keys? Granted Logitech do come out with some new innovations frequently, their keyboards as a whole I feel have gone from astounding to WTF!Their last nice looking keyboard was the G15 r1 and that was years ago. Keep it clean like you used to Logitech!

I actually like the idea of the extra keys above the F keys. Although I think it would be better to have function keys between your number keys and the F keys as your F keys are normally the "top" and there is that space between number keys and F keys.

Whoever is in charge of Logitech gaming needs a slap tbh. The whole range should be RGB and there should be no BS product recognition highlights (light blue wtf?)
Mech boards should not feature childish designs like this either, they are too expensive.

i quite like the design of the keyboard as a whole minus the wrist-rest. im sure once you get the leds to a certain color it wont looks so chaotic.

Seems like the place where your left hand write will rest will be on a join/the logo - doesnt seem good for comfort. Also the different type of keycaps used on WASD could spoil certain lighting affects (assuming we get the sort of ones corsair's are getting). I am interested though since i've been using a logitech keyboard for a while.

Is it meant to look like a work-experience-kid designed it, while taking drugs, and being repeatedly beaten about the head and neck with a metal keyboard that doesn't look hideous.
