London Bridge Incident

Just saw the picture of the guy with the canisters of some sort strapped to him. Gives me the chills tbh.

Just tuned in, seems pretty organised and still on going? RIP

Not to sound insensitive but ive got to be in London from 6pm till around 9pm making multiple stops on sunday. Would it be wise to reschedule or will moving around be viable?

If these are found to be homegrown, I think it's fair to start rounding up their parent's and deporting them. Virtually all of these homegrown terrorist scum who went 'off the rails' and suddenly found turning to Islamic radicalism as an rationale for their pathetic existence. Surely their parents are partly responsible for allowing them to become such poor examples of human beings? It won't do anything for the ones who have already become radicalised, but will definitely help prevent radicalisation in the future.

Most of London will be fine. Around London Bridge and Monument will be locked down though. So assuming you will be elsewhere you should be fine.

Saw this on reddit, ties in with the picture on BBC. Seems like the guy wanted to get in the pub to detonate?

I was at the incident at borough market. I was in one of the pubs having a drink and all of a sudden I see people running away from something outside. Next thing I know people are locking the doors in the pub. My first thought it was some kind of street fight or gang fight. I see a guy with a knife run past and stab someone. About 5min he comes back to the front of the pub and he opens his jacket and I can see something strapped to him like a bomb. Chaos, and we all run to the back of the pub to hide. We are upstairs hiding and hear gun shots straight away. They seem to have come through the pub window but I can't be certain. We sit and wait as we hear more gun shots, this time people shouting outside presumably police. The response time was incredible probably within 5 min. People inside are running around as someone was seriously injured downstairs and were looking for a med kit. 10 min later police are at the pub and tell everyone to run out. On my way out I see someone inside the pub by the front window lying with blood all over his head looks as though he had been shot in the head, but this wasn't the perpetrator. Presumably shot initially when the perpetrator was outside the pub but again I can't be sure. As we exit pub there are what seems like hundreds of police aiming guns away from the direction we were told to run. One corner after the other there was a police officer telling us where to run. I'm still amazed how quickly it was all set up and the response time.

Depends where you are going - most of London will be fine but as above certain areas will probably be locked down or limited access as investigations go on.

an eyewitness of what happened the guy tried to do something by chasing them and throwing stuff but not much you can do vs 3 scumbags with knives

Police announcement: Three attackers shot and killed. All three were wearing "suicide vests" but these turned out to be hoax devices.

Six members of the public killed :( RIP

I just want to add, once again, I think the police and security services who put themselves in front of these people deserve our thanks.

BBC news confirms 6 dead, 30 people in hospital and 3 attackers shot dead within 8 minutes after the police arrived shortly after 10pm.

So it's gonna be 3 Brummys/Londoners or what?. Another bunch of home grown dullards that do a low tech attack and by the sounds of it, mercifully got swiftly putdown.

It won't be the last attack, I don't think. The next wanna be is probably already strapping on his fake vest and perusing the IKEA catalogue for weapons.

Good work by the police et al.
Rip to the victims, probably just having a night out or going about their business.

I think this times it's gonna push public opinion over the edge and I expect to see some very public action taken.

Is and was the incident over within eight minutes then?
The three shot and everything that followed the securing of the area and confirmation of end of the incident, or is this still ongoing? Are there more being hunted?

It was only 3 people. But expect a copycat soon, probably not in London because it's too prepared.
