London Bridge Incident

Unfortunately the methods that helped and worked in northern ireland will not help combat islamic extremists, as the people themselves do not want change and cannot see chnage as their particular book is 'perfect' and cannot be changed. It cannot because of its nature, and those who follow it perfectely will do **** like last night, blame it on the book telling them to, and this cannot be stopped.

What book told them to do anything? Who are the terrorists? Islamic scholars or disgruntled young men with no future and a criminal record? ISIS is not a religious entity, no book is guiding these people, men with political aims are.

Don't worry the people are neither rich or in the political elite so the government will do bugger all.

This **** is going to keep on happening, as those dead are acceptable loses for the government. If there was an attack at Eton then we'd see action taken.

So all we can do is say rip to those that died and wait for the next attack.

What's the odds these individuals were 'known' to the police... Bring on brexit so we can tear up the Human Rights Act and start throwing these suspects in a specialist terrorism prison for life.

No doubt the lefties will try rip into me but something has to change.

If these are found to be homegrown, I think it's fair to start rounding up their parent's and deporting them. Virtually all of these homegrown terrorist scum who went 'off the rails' and suddenly found turning to Islamic radicalism as an rationale for their pathetic existence. Surely their parents are partly responsible for allowing them to become such poor examples of human beings? It won't do anything for the ones who have already become radicalised, .

so you want collective punishment for crimes basically?

if you genuinely think this is an "effective" method of preventing people commiting crimes by targeting their families (like north Korea does) why only terror attacks?

why not just lock peoples parents up if they are a drug dealer say?

but will definitely help prevent radicalisation in the future

how by any level of reasoning will it?

the out come of a terror attack today from the terrorists perspective-

1) kill people, get killed

in your world

2) kill people, get killed, mum and dad might get shipped back (dunno how this works for British parents but heyho) to the holy land to be treated as hero parents of a martyr to Allah an away from the dirty infidels of Britain.

hardly seems like its going to stop someone who is willing to die?

In the eye of their prophet, it was all one and the same, God's rules, law, culture and war.
Political aims are religious aims are cultural aims.
That's what people fail to understand.

Sometimes it is defined and broken on ancient tribal grounds, as are many wars in the world, but it is all the same.
A man with nothing to live for, will find something to die for, yet in many of these cases the chaps involved could have had perfectly adequate lives/families etc, yet chose this instead.

Well let the virtue signalling begin by everyone.

Let's hold hands and sing songs by washed up groups and hug people and change our profile photos to the London Bridge like any of this helps anyone or fixes the problem.

Just a other day, what's else is in the news?

Yep, the time has come, zero tolerance

Any intelligent person will agree, but all the government is willing to do is strip more freedoms of everyone, which much be apparent by now that this is not the answer because it's simply not working. And it's what the Islamic terrorist want anyway. I don't give a **** now, just round up everyone on the watch list and throw them in jail, we might even lose a voice or two on this forum.

Wrong very wrong.

Agree. Ive seen some opinions from Americans about how we could stop this if we could carry concealed weapons...just imagine if that was the case today?

Absolute carnage.

This wont continue forever as we simply wont let it...the concert will go ahead as planned today and London will wake up this mornong and go about its business. That last thing we need to do is create divisions however if this thread is anything to go by then they are already forming.

Pretty much read this thread from start to finish, and quoted post sums up my thoughts. Division is not what is required togetherness is, granted it was 8-9 years ago now but I spent 6 months travelling around predominately muslim countries and they were nothing short of welcoming and kind.

I don't have the answers (does anyone?) but one thing for sure is that blowing up countries has proven time and time again doesn't work and only achieves more division on the whole. If people are prepared to die for their beliefs then you have a serious problem whoever it is.:(

So what are you as a individual going to do, or advocating other people should do, to stop this?

And you guys really do make yourself look foolish for criticising other people who are just expressing their support and sympathy for the people affected by these terrible events
