London Bridge Incident

What are you actually talking about? How would them tackling radicalisation through the internet affect me? Are you suggesting i'm a terrorist in the works?

It's hard to understand the point of your post.

maybe not you personally but have you not noticed since shes said that people are already saying how its bad?

how its going to affect free speech?

have you not seen the huge thread we have regarding the snoopers charter and how everyone is against it?

people give a **** when it means they are being targeted by the security forces but dont if its this big colelctive group of "muslims" they arent involved in

3 successful attacks and 5 foiled "credible" attempts in 3 months.

Does anyone in the government have the balls to do anything about this or are we simply going to hear empty platitudes and twitter hash tags over and over?

Why would I be targeted by the secrurity services?

I care about her plans to block porn, and only that.

How will it affect me?

Day to day browsing through restricted search engines. It's the govt that will decide what you can and can't see. Perhaps your job and the company will be affected because these restrictions will limit the work they get. Etc

Do share your wisdom, wise one, and tell us what the government should be doing.

and yet people keep saying this about muslims?

how they need to take responsibility?

Britain's mosques became an international haven for extremists who enjoyed state benefits while being trained for terrorism, leaked documents show.

The WikiLeaks files, written by U.S. military chiefs, reveal that at least 35 Guantanamo terrorists were radicalised in London mosques before being sent to fight against the West.

This is believed to be more than any other Western country.

Because other Muslims go to the same mosques. They know who these people are. They know who the inflammatory imams are. Yet they keep quiet or do not do enough to out the extremists apparently.

The Internet needs to take more responsibility :)

Dear Theresa, The Internet isn't a centralised organisation. Lunatics need to take more responsibility for being lunatics.
She means companies like Facebook, Twitter etc. I thought that was quite obvious?

I must be missing something here, that's exactly why my comment about May and the Internet was posted. Every chance she gets she attacks the Internet.

Tackling terrorists online is all well and good, but we know it won't stop there.

Why did you bring it up then as a suggested legitimate comparison? Were you highlighting the ridiculousness of those other things? (1,2,3) With a counter proposal equally ridiculous to make your point? If so then ok i should have seen that earlier.

RIP to those who died in this terrible attack. I dont think this thread will last long.

yes, i was pointing out how we dont compelled change our country and its foundation int he the face of tens of thousands of deaths from various causes.

but people want to make us essentially nazi Germany cause less than 100 people in the last ten years have been killed by a few nutters.

not saying we should ban cars lol.

im just tryign to make the point that you can reduce risks a lot but you cant expect to get rid of every bad thing ever, responses should be proportional.

you mean do something like stop 5/8 attacks?

Being in the same room with a person grants mind reading abilities?? Wow! Those traitorous Muslims have known what the terrorists are up to all along and said nothing!

I think that those companies should feed in intelligence where they can. Driving extremist talk off the internet/phones would surely make the job of the security services harder.
