London Bridge Incident

I seriously think the mods should just go through this and ban everyone that's said in all seriousness something moronically xenophobic and frankly idiotic.

Do people believe what they type or just trolling for mob effect?

I think the idea of Giving the police another 10,000 officers wouldn't go a miss, while we are at it, not lying to the public about the current level of policing would also be a start!

We're not missing Police, they were on the scene immediately the terrorists were shot dead within 8 minutes, if anything we could do with greater intelligence funding

Even if we recruit a shed load more police their time will be consumed policing petty hate crimes online, the country needs to man up and stop seeing anything that's verbally offensive as a crime which requires immediate police intervention. When people stop acting like overgrown babies police will have more resources to deal with serious real life crimes.

According to the Met police spokesman had the attacks not occurred in Manchester or London they would have found a threadbare police force, his words.
He also points out insane shift patterns, over loading etc.

I'm not casting dispersions at the police, but does 50 rounds fired by 8 officers seem excessive to anyone else, when they were taking down 3 men? 3 men armed with knives and not guns?

Did they miss 47 times or did they just riddle them with bullets?

Ahh, bummer :(

But the general point still stands, it seems quite a common occurrence in the states with bystanders being killed by stray bullets

Commendable that he's spoken out honestly but is stating that on live TV a good idea? Letting attackers know if they do a similar attack in another city to those 2 they might have a much easier time.

1 was apparently.

Seemed like someone possibly was hit when the police shot one of the attackers who was trying to get into a bar - at that point they didn't know if the bomb vests were real or not.

These kind of attackers tend to aim for maximum publicity so capital cities or large events especially with international connections or big name stars, etc. will be more attractive to them over less security somewhat.

Hence why IMO the news should never publish actual pictures of them, never publish their full name in one go, etc. it almost always encourages copycat attacks if there are those seriously considering doing similar if they see these people's names up in lights.

There's one video doing the rounds of some random foreign guy walking along recording people being worked on by paramedics while giving a running commentary, no clue what language he's speaking, might be spanish?

Nope ARO's are not the best shots in the world by a long way & probably needed that many shots to make sure they hit them.

With the fake suicide vests on they were probably forced to shoot for the head. I read a member of the public was also hit.

Personally I couldn't care less how many rounds they fired, I doubt I would've been so restrained to be able to control what I did under such circumstances so fair play to them, must've been hell facing those belts.

I've been wondering about that, doesn't shooting someone with a bomb vest on have a chance of detonating it?

Would that be why they were wearing them, thinking the police wouldn't shoot them maybe?

6 rounds per officer, firing at suspects that had bomb vests on. No it wasn't excessive. They were not to know the vests were fakes but they did know the suspects had already murdered people.
