Good video demonstrating that folks who say that London as a whole is filthy when in reality it's not.

There are also plenty of statistics that show that London air quality is not miles behind a small little village in the middle of the UK.

People who don't live here in London don't realise that the air quality is pretty clean.

The underground is filthy though and would suggest people do wear fpp3 masks

Well, I live in quite a large village in the middle of the country, and can certainly say that the air quality is worse in London. You can actually taste it, and it's disgusting. I assume people that live there are immune to it now though...
I think what you can taste is the kebab lurking in the air ;)

No honesty there has been factual data that proves you are incorrect though and even the video above shows actual reading of London air quality.

No amount of videos is going to convince me I don't have black dust lining the inside of my nose when I've visited London over the years, something that doesn't happen elsewhere.
Talking nonsense here.

Yes if you use underground you do get that and the video does state how filthy the underground is but out and about in the streets of London? You talking nonsense

I know i was blowing black boogers out my nose Monday evening after meetings in the (actual) city (not out in zone 4-6 thinking it's all gravy), so it's on you whether or not you believe that...

Bet you took the underground....

Agreed I hated it as a kid living in a village. We used to catch the bus into town as soon as we could but once I got older the revelation of internet shopping and living in the countryside whilst still being a stones throw from big towns and cities is fantastic :).

Finished work today at 15:15 which is school "rush" hour. Still managed to to get home in 8 minutes for six miles. I have had the misfortune being stuck in traffic at the same time in London and 6 miles takes 45 minutes. As I said earlier this is where the vast majority of poor intake comes in from being stuck in a car.

I just worry WFH really takes off big time as it will drive the price of houses up (It already is around here).
Its a good thing if manv move out to areas such as yours. It's not good for most people to be in one place. There's plenty of open land in this country for people to live in

So the ULEZ ruling in khanMings favour just means he has the power to do it - and is not a ratification that it is the most useful thing to do to reduce pollution,

to remind folks

still seems the whole Labour uxbridge loss is being attributed to that as opposed to people don't think much of Kiers other policies - no youguv survey to try and understand the truth ?
I can understand labour liking that narrative, and suppose the Cons don't disagree because the publics green vote intention is unclear.
TDLR?

To be honest I think encouraging people back into the office has been a massive wasted opportunity in terms of reducing congestion and pollution. An efficient trip is good but no trip is better for those things than one not taken at all.
IF you can work from home then you should not need to make a pointless travel to a workplace, regardless if its using public transport or driving

Where is the idea that almost no one wants it coming from ? I live in London and most people i've spoken to about it don't seem to care either way. Granted that's not exactly a significant sample pool but having just done a quick google search for some polls it seems it's as popular as it is unpopular ? In fact some of them suggest that there are nearly twice as many people for it as those that are against it
rubbish. most sources and places i read on dont want this

I've got an older car (2009) and it is ULEZ compliant, my sister has a car that is from 2001 and it too is compliant. We both live in the areas where the expansion will take place.

I'd rather have clean air than drive a polluting car.

I understand that some businesses and people with older cars or diesel vehicles and I'll have to either pay the levy or seek a different vehicle with a financial burden on them. There are schemes in place to get help with that.
You can get something installed on your none compliant car to make it compilant. most people dont know about this lol
