Longest serving component in your current main machine?

i've had my mobo and cpu for 2 years. both 2nd hand mind, so they're even older than that. (asus p4c800e dlx and a dothan)

motherboard, about 9 months old, although i got it replaced 2 months later under warranty, so i guess it's 7months old, think i got the HDD in between the warranty return, or it could just possibly be my corsair hx 620w, either way, one of those is about 7-9 months old.

All of it bar the 7200.10 would be about the same age. Although if I'm being strict then my keyboard is the oldest thing I use and I'll probably take it to my next PC, at least for a while because it is so comfortable. :)

My main desktop has a LS120 drive in it, really only gets used as a floppy, except for occasional shunts to other people- Thats seven or eight years old.

The server has an ancient 20gb Seagate drive & another LS120, both again about 7- 8 years old. The server also has a 1988 vintage Cherry keyboard attached to it for occasional usage

it's used in my server pc, but a globalwin 802 black (£30 special ocuk offer) was the bee's knee's when it came out "the modders dream" and i use a boomslang 2000 with the server

I've had a harddrive for about 4 years now, my DVD drive for about 6 years, just threw out my floppy drive for some slightly better airflow.

Definatly my floppy must be 10 yrs old by now and has been 3 different colours its probably only used once or twice a year tho!

Last week I ditched my IDE DVD drives and one of them was a LiteOn 165H 16x DVDROM which has been with me for at least 3-4 years. I now have SATA everything and all other parts are new :p

Anyone after an LG IDE 16x DVDRW and 16x LiteOn DVDROM ? both region free ;)

An IBM 40gb drive that I half inched from a knackered comp about 5 years ago. Got some music stored on it.:D

I still have a 10 year old 6 gig samsung hard drive in my current rig, it still works fine (apart from being loud and slow :p) so why not?

PK!

My Maxtor hard drives, I'm fairly sure have followed me through three builds, but so have my Amber quiet fans :)
